Save your time looking for any other place to stay in Hana!! This is it!!! I’m a 25 year plus resident on Maui and I’m also in the hospitality industry. I was just there this past weekend. First the location and the grounds are absolute the best!! You will most certainly feel like you are in a dream!! You can walk to everything in the Town. They also have door to door complementary golf cart service to the amazing restaurant right across the street!! You can even walk down to Hana Bay!! The most special thing to me is the staff..every department is so nice and welcoming. You’ll get local tips that you would never get otherwise. The rooms are very spacious and extremely clean. You can stroll down on their amazing large property and watch the sunset if you choose or from your room. They also have a cozy fire pit that you can relax at night and stargaze. I guarantee you’re going to ask yourself why did we not stay longer and when is the soonest we can come back!!! This amazing dream of a resort does book up fast..I’ve got my stays already booked through March ❤️ oh they also have the absolute best Local Hawaiian Drinks on the Island!! Make sure you visit the pool bar!! …
We have wanted to stay in Hana for years as we traveled to Maui but our schedules were more limited. We just completed 3 nights at the Hana Maui Resort and it was wonderful / made the drive worth doing at our age! Everyone was so friendly and helpful at the resort - from extra housekeeping needs, to accessibility issues and so forth. The bungalows and the views from the bungalows are amazing. We plan to return and spend more time here!
I thought the location would be inconvenient because it was far from Kahului, but it ended up being perfect! Very close to Waiʻānapanapa, Haleakala, red sand beach, and more. I booked this resort on a whim and did not regret it! The resort itself is also very beautiful and staff is very friendly. If you don’t want the overpriced hotel food, there are many food trucks within walking distance for poke, fruit bowls and thai food (in addition to Thai food by Pranee, also within walking distance). Loved it!!!
Pros: Lovely property, super friendly staff at check-in. Quiet property and pretty grounds. When you walk over the the ocean villas, the views are amazing. The areas outside the rooms are lovely. Cons: The Garden View rooms (not suites) and bathrooms are like a 60's rec room of ill-fitting furniture that is broken, scratched, and used hard. I did not see other rooms but the Garden View rooms are just shabby. Even down to the outdated pink bathroom tile that looks like it is from your great grandma's basement bathroom. It was highly disappointing. Note: The Garden View rooms do not have air conditioning and they do not have TVs- which is fine for some people, but not everyone. Paying almost $1000 per night for a run-down room was upsetting when you can stay in much nicer hotels on the island with more amenities for far less. This was like staying at an old Hotel 6, not a Hyatt. …
From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The property is large and has complimentary parking onsite, as well as golf-buggies to assist you getting to your room. The rooms are huge however ours had no air conditioning, so it was a bit hot, but they provide fans to run all night. I believe there are rooms to book that do have air conditioning, so would recommend that. The room/area is huge and beautiful, and watching the sunrise over the ocean was spectacular and well worth the early wakeup. Hana is small but the breakfast restaurant onsite was great, as was the dinner restaurant down the road.
We stayed here at the end of the Road to Hana drive and were so happy we did. Such a beautiful setting and gave us a change to relax and regroup without having to drive the road back the same day. Highly recommend.
Amazing hotel and the very welcoming staff truly went above and beyond even for the small stuff. Great open areas to walk around and get great sunrise views . Luxurious and serene , truly worth it , if you are going to spend a few days in Hana.
Don’t do the drive in a day and back when this option is available. There’s so much to do and see on the road to Hana, in Haleakala, and on the way back down. PLUS this added quiet retreat made it a very special experience.
It's a great place to stay when traveling the road to Hana. It's so much better to downs the night or two instead of traveling to Hana and back in one day. As always great Hyatt accommodations, awesome location, friendly and helpful staff.
We loved the property and facilities, sadly the cottages are start to show their age, the roof started to leak when it rained, awoken to trips of water on our head. Great access to local visitor spots.
