An economical hostel in Hana. You can hear the ocean waves all night and see a beautiful sunrise right out your room window. A shared kitchen is fully equipped and a great choice, compared to the high priced eateries in town. People staying are typically friendly and enjoying themselves. Ed, makes you feel right at home when you arrive. The...

No, this place ain't nothing fancy. It's full of flaws. Yet, for a place to stay in over priced Hana, where the aloha seems a bit deminished, and two beers, two drinks, and a plate of guacamole and chips (about the size of half a normal order) can set you back $60, there's nothing to complain about here. It's a...

Joes Place is great if you are looking for one or two nights cheap accommodation in Hana but it is VERY dilapidated and doesn't feel the cleanest. The guy who checked us in was lovely with good recommendations of where to go and eat. We shared a bathroo and had a bedroom with a double bed and a single for...

Joe's was a great place to stay when you need an extra day in Hana. It was clean, and very reasonably priced. It was definitely a family style hostel, with some private rooms, but a shared bathroom. Great location near the end of the road to Hana.

The rooms are decent and Ed gave us pointers on places to get dinner. I felt this was the most reasonable option in Hana. The toilet was also clean. The property is a bit old but still great. I would recommend

We visited Maui and planned for an overnight stay at Hana. We could not find any hotel for our overnight stay on such a short notice. Joe's place was the only option left for us. The place is very old. They have tried to maintain the room which is good. The bathroom was ok. Do not use kitchen there. Its...

I came to visit friends in Hana and was on a budget and Joe's seemed to be the only cheap option I could find. When I checked into my room on the first floor there were about 50-60 bugs on the walls and ceiling. The manager said it was from the ginger tree next to the window. I requested to...

Resident Manager was great. Room was clean. Hana is/was very humid. The room came with a ceiling fan that didn't do much good. The window screens were torn and several glass louvers were missing. The community fridge smelled like fish. There is a community family room with a television but we didn't use it. Not sure if I would stay...

Without any doubt the worst place i've ever been in my life. Horrific, absolutely filthy and dangerous! Bugs everywhere! Under the bed in the matress, on the walls. A horde of ants will eat whatever is edible in your luggage or at least they'll explore it. Hana is almost a ghost town with just a restaurant that shuts at 8...

I stayed there for one night last March. I decided to go to the cheapest place I could find in Hana... well I got what I paid for. I had a comfortable king bed with clean linens and a clean bathroom with a few dead bugs. There were a few geckos on the kitchen wall, but they were really cute...
