first off, I'm not a 'maui person'. i had a course that was happening at the cameron center up the road from the hotel so i booked it for convenience. $449.00 for 4 nights, in maui ... not bad at all! a couple days before my flight i got an email telling me that a hotel shuttle would pick me...

I attended the recent Maui Steel Guitar Camp & Festival in Kāʻanapali but flew in early so I could explore the area where my mom was from. I stayed 5 nights at Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului, 3 nights by myself and 2 with a friend. The location is perfect, close to everything a traveler needs - 10 minutes from...

Overall we didn't spend a great deal of time here, as we were out exploring. The hotel was an average price for the area, however the shower was beyond tiny, and the bed was small too! We did ask for a queen upon reservation. Not unhappy with it, just would have rathered a bigger bed and bigger shower. Hotel staff...

Title says it's all. The hotel is clean enough but overall a little bit of a disappointment. The rooms while clean, are clearly dated as is the lobby and the rest of the "resort". Again, as I'm learning with Maui, better to shorten your trip and splurge on a real resort.

Aloha Julien and mahalo for sharing a review of your stay. We are very sad to hear that the room and other areas were not as updated as you had hoped and didn't provide the resort ambiance that you anticipated. We booked just one night with the Maui Beach Hotel since our flight got in late and we didn't feel like driving to West Maui late at night. I booked it purely based on reviews and photos which made it look like a decent place to spend a night. It's right down the road from the airport (like just a...

Aloha and thank you for taking a moment to review your recent stay. Our central Kahului location is an ideal base camp for exploring Maui and we are pleased that you found our proximity to the airport convenient. We are happy that our friendly and dedicated staff made you feel welcome. However, we are sad to hear about the other...

As soon as you enter the lobby, you can tell the hotel is very spacious and clean. Then you go to the front desk and the staff is pleasant and full of aloha. The room was also spacious with lots of drawers and closet space. Had breakfast at the restaurant and again the staff was pleasant to deal with. Only...

Our first day we arrived with friends who were staying elsewhere on the island. They later left to stay at there cousins house over in Kihei. The room had a musky smell, the hair dryer shocked me when I tried to turn it on. Anything you try to plug into the bathroom outlet will either shock you or just won't...

Although we would have preferred to stay on the west side of Maui, we had only a few days on the island and an early morning departure. We were unsure what to expect of a hotel in Kahului (we had previously only stayed in Kaanapali), but were very pleased with the hotel. We had a spacious bay-front room, with easy...

The queen room we stayed in was small. Just enough room to move around the bed. The pool is a nice roof top pool, but not friendly for small children. Very convenient, within walking distance of the mall.

Visited Maui for a week while working at King Kekaulike High School. After that I had two days to relax and enjoy the island. Although not the fanciest hotel around I found the people to be caring, fun and prompt. The rooms were good but the a/c was pretty loud. Rooms were clean but the internet just plain didnt work....
