This resort is very large, very beautiful, and offers everything you need. From the open air lobby, to the large pool with waterfalls, it has the soothing feel of Hawaii. Even though the rooms haven't been updated in a long time, they don't really need much change because they

The air conditioning is totally inadequate in the rooms. We got them to drop the in room temperature dial to 60 degrees. What a joke. I carry an alarm clock that has a thermometer. We closed every shade at night and the temperature never got below 72 degrees in the room.

We stayed here over New Years for a week with three of our kids ages 13, 11 and 8. We originally thought it would be a “check that one off the list and never need to go back” vacation, but we are already talking about returning next Christmas break. One of the best things

Does the Hyatt Regency in Maui require wristbands for their pools/activities?
As stated previously by another writer and if I remember correctly, I believe a room key card is required to get a wrist band and towel. Notices are place around the pool about vacating chairs for extended periods of time. No big deal really.

Can you use the pool in late February or is it too cold?
We were there in December which is their winter and the pool was wonderful. I think Hawaii is an all year destination.
