What I have to say is from the perspective of someone who went in, knowing that my husband and I were renting a condominium (and not a hotel), thus giving the Royal Kahana an excellent rating. In short: We absolutely loved the Royal Kahana and...More

Mahalo for taking the time to review your stay at Royal Kahana. We hope to see you again in the future
Several years ago we won an auction item at a major local charity auction for a week in a privately owned unit at this location. We fell in love with it immediately upon arrival. We now return every couple of years usually in April/May. We...More

To respond to the “couches and beds” above, every condominium is individually owned. It is up to the individual owner to insure the that the comfort level of their furnishings are up to par. To decide to not return because of the bedding is unfortunate, to not return because one thinks they’ll not see another bug in a tropical area is equally unfortunate.
Addressing the cock roaches claim. We do, especially after heavy rains during the winter have occasion to hear of a cock roach encounter. Roaches are not seen everywhere and we do have a robust pest control program, using only non-hazardous materials, to control any and all bugs. As a result, we see very little, if any bugs throughout the resort. I urge all guests to contact the front desk anytime there is any kind of problem so that it is promptly addressed.

Aloha! We have several agencies that guests use to book their stay with us. Because if this inventory changes almost daily, making it nearly impossible to guarantee a specific unit in the building. One way to work around this is to book directly from an owner. You also have the option of asking for a specific unit upon check in at the front desk
