This was a really pretty, serene property, and I’d definitely stay here again. We were just looking for a nice stay away from the tourist scene, and we certainly got it. We came in early October, so we were a bit nervous about it not having AC, but with the windows open and the mountain breezes, we were just fine....

Dear KingTheWanderlust, Thank you for taking the time to share your thorough feedback with us. Lumeria is a unique property, that establishes itself as an educational facility based in a heritage property. We do maintain the integrity of the property by keeping it its in truest form. Whilst it can get warmer over Summer the property is naturally ventilated and...

First, if you want to stay in upcountry Maui, Lumeria is probably your best bet, despite the flaws. It's a beautiful area, and there's nothing else comparable nearby. That said, after a four-day visit, my wife & I felt that Lumeria prices itself as a premium experience, which it doesn't quite deliver. Lumeria holds itself out as a "retreat" rather...

Dear xryspec, Thank you for staying and sharing your feedback with us. Lumeria is certainly a unique lodging experience and we are more akin to a school than what is perceived as a hotel. We do pride ourselves on our class programming, nutritional focus and heritage of what is one of the oldest wooden restorations on Maui. However, we certainly...

We came for the 3rd tier of our honeymoon on Maui and stayed 5 nights. The staff was nice enough but seemed scattered and unorganized. The property is small so not many people around which is nice. However for the price the rooms are tiny, dark, and smells a little musky. The beds are super uncomfortable, they make a creaking...

This is a beautiful Upcountry property. The buildings are Hawaiian plantation style. The ground are green lawn and lush plantings. The hotel is very small, scattered over several building which flow together giving you such a lovely sense of peace and quiet. There are perfect places for your personal practice of yoga and meditation as well as a room and...

We had a very nice time at Lumeria and would recommand the experience. Food was excellent. Only negative points would be the darkness of the room and price (value for money). There is a nice small city not far which has restaurants, supermarket and beaches.

The place and setting was amazing. I believe that the breakfast could be better if there was more attention to detail. The coffee was cold each morning and the milk containers where empty. I had coffee each morning btwn 7-7:30. Perhaps there could be more of a variety for breakfast each day.

I was blown away with the beauty of the property and I immediately felt at ease with the staff. The wide variety of included classes are a great aid in reaching complete relaxation. I would definitely recommend trying out one of the many massages, facials, and/or enhancements for full rejuvenation. I hope to make it back to Lumeria someday soon!
