“A chic boutique hotel that feels European in its intimacy, Asian in its aesthetic and Hawaiian in its geniality” - Hawaiian Airlines
Paia Inn is located in a beach town on the stunning north shore. This Small Sensitively-Designed Inn integrates modern amenities with historic Hawaiian character. In a nod to the town’s plantation days, the building’s exterior has retained its rustic charm with tin rooftops and understated hues, yet the interior mixes contemporary island furnishings with a chic lushness begging you to unwind and unplug. Matte charcoal concrete floors highlight designer furniture collected from Asia, while rooms feature organic botanical amenities and luxe furnishings.

Talk about a wonderful boutique hotel in Paia! We stayed in the Garden View Suite - it was absolutely gorgeous & relaxing! Beautiful ocean/beach access. Paia was our last stop in Maui after the Road to Hana. We were so sad as we realized 1 day wasn't enough at the Paia Inn. We wish we could of stayed longer! The fire pits were great during the night hours if you wanted to relax with a glass of wine with your hubby! The rooms had everything for a travelers need - including beach towels! The staff every took you to your room & showed you around -- Bonus Points!
We stayed 2 nights in the petite room. I should have noticed the square footage - I would have never imagined a room and bathroom so small. The shower is tiny and the curtain clings to you and leaves you only 1 foot of space to bathe. It is a quaint cute hotel that is very clean and the front desk staff is very friendly and nice. We had a wonderful tour of the property when we checked in. My only real complaint is the size of the room for the high cost and the fact that you have to enter the hotel after hours thru the busy restaurant that doesn't have a clear path or make you feel welcome. We actually had to have 2 customers move to make it thru. The restaurant staff and patrons looked at us like we were crazy. It is a strange set up that I would think would be a fire hazard.…
We were very pleased to stay here one night on arrival on Maui. The staff especially Jennica and Jeremiah went beyond with their friendly nature and hospitality …we had a front room with an extra sitting area that was great for this early riser…yes we heard a few cars but nothing crazy and I enjoyed the location looking at the street ! interesting hotel and I love the little maze to get to the beach ..I really can’t see why people complain..a three minute walk gets you to other beaches in town and we loved Paia in general …thanks..it was a memorable stay here before our journey to unwind in Hana
This place is fantastic and very deserving of the good reviews. It was in the middle of Paia, which is the coolest town/village in Maui, it has a fantastic restaurant and bar, and the staff was impeccable. Owner was really nice too. We will definitely come back.
I did a ton of research on upcountry hotels and this one kept coming to the top of the list. However, I can't say it fully met my expectations. We originally planned to travel in May 2020. We canceled due to the pandemic, but they retained our deposit. I understand that they are a small hotel, so I understood. This could be difficult for others who cannot reschedule. We used the deposit for travel this year, booking a deluxe hotel with town view. "Deluxe" is a strong word because the room was EXTREMELY tiny. Three of the four nights of our stay I showered in the evening and ended up with cool, borderline cold, water. When I showered in the morning on the last day, the water was warm. I believe being attached to a restaurant affected this. Speaking of restaurant, we ate there on the night we arrived. Unfortunately, my husband had food poisoning. We only had snacks on the plane, so it was definitely from the restaurant. Twice housekeeping came when we were still in the room (and we spent most of our time out of the room), so we only had cleaning services upon arrival and the day before we left. Our room desperately needed a coat of paint or two and the bathroom cleanliness could have been better. I was afraid to turn the ceiling fan on because of the dust I could see on it. The positives. The hotel was in a great location in the middle of so much and accessible to so many activities that we had planned. We had a town room and it was noisy/lively, but didn't bother us at all. The private beach behind the property was lovely, peaceful, had turtles and beautiful sunsets. The lobby area was charming and the staff always greeted us upon arrival and departure. Basically, expectations are key. Recognize that this is a small hotel with a European feel in a great location, but without resort/luxury accommodations. We moved to the Fairmont for the second half of our trip and the difference was night and day in terms of luxury.…
