The Banana Bungalow Youth Hostel is a really special place. It's a place where people come together from all around the world and share connection and love in one of the most beautiful places on the earth. There are so many cool people to be met there. Sit down at the circle table in the common area during the day...

Couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Maui. The bungalow always had something going on. It has the best staff and such a good vibe to it. Definitely the only place I'll stay at in Maui. Gotta love them Sunday fun days!

Great place to stay simply for the different tours they run everyday. The tour guides, Billie, Zack and Lea were awesome, especially as they are volunteers and don't get paid. Every night the staff and guests got around some drinks with a fantastic atmosphere in the common areas, both inside and outside. Special shoutout to Billie, who rated his own...

I only intended to stay for one night at the bungalow, but after having the best night at the free keg party on Friday I extended my stay for an extra 2 weeks! As a solo traveller I cannot recommend the bungalow more! Its friendly and helpful staff are so good at creating a welcoming and fun environment! Be aware...

It was the first time I took a solo trip. It was such a great experience. My favorite part was all the tours that are included! I didn't have to worry about renting a car and planning anything out. I would just wake up in the morning and hop into the vans and enjoy everything that was already planned out...

The common conversation at the bungalow was how no one wanted to leave ! The staff are so nice and welcoming , always willing to help or give advice , a lot of times offering their own vehicles and time to take guests on personal trips to special locations I would have never known about otherwise!!! The guests mostly are...

I would have had a fantastic week in Maui if I had picked a different hostel from the start! This hostel can be great if you are under 25 and are looking to party. This was not my situation. First they do not mention on their website that the free tours need to be reserved daily and the reservation sheets...

I had zero expectations heading to Maui on a work vacation. There was three of us just going to relax, meet some people and see some sights. We had no idea what we were about to walk into. This place has the friendliest staff willing to help out at any time. Lia, Zach and Billy were all excellent tour guides...

This was my 9th trip to Hawaii but my first stay at a hostel. At almost 40 years old I went into it with an open mind. The staff and guests were nice. It was a little noisy but mostly the quiet hours were observed without problems. Words of caution: please be careful when heading out with the tour guides....
