My friend and I recently spent eight days on Maui. We were unsure of where we were going to stay and after doing a bit of research decided to check out the Banana Bungalow; What started out as one night turned into us staying there our whole trip! We kept signing up for one of the free tours offered by...

I stayed here for four nights in June 2011, looking for budget accommodations on Maui. Its location is a little out of the way in Wailuku, about an hour by bus or a 20-minute taxi ride from the OGG/Kahului Airport. There's not too much around, a couple restaurants and a Korean market, though it's pretty easy to get around, as...

I just got back from a 2 week stay in Maui at the Banana Bungalow Hostel. I've been to Maui before on a family trip, but did not get to experience Maui the way I did this time. The staff and the tours make this place! I did all of the tours, some of them twice. I would recommend doing...

This hostel is incredible, the staff are awesome, the kitchen is big and they do daily tours around the island. Trips include beach days, hikes and the road to Hana. It's a really friendly place as you get to know everyone on the tours really well. I want to go back

Bruno, Isaac & Nadine are awesome tour guides & definitely made each excursion fun & entertaining. The atmosphere at the hostel is super friendly & there are great people from all over the world to hang out...

I had a fantastic time staying at the Banana Bungalow. Their hospitality was tremendous and their knowledge of the island (& island culture) played an extremely vital role in my enjoying the whole island of Maui. The tours they gave were unbelievable. I mixed and mingled with other people from all over our globe, some I'm sure will be life-long...
