This is our second year staying at Hutchins while visiting Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor. We had cabin 6 and it was just the right size for us. We loved the king bed, the kitchenette, and the screened in porch. The cottages are located less than five minutes from the park and ten to fifteen minutes from downtown....

Perfect place for my husband and our traveling companions, both bedrooms with King sized beds , super clean , incredibly quiet. The price was very reasonable for this area. The woman who checked us in is a sweat heart! I would recommend this place to everyone

Our cabin took us back in time. Simply furnished with a small kitchen and even a screened front porch, we truly enjoyed the country feel. Karen, in the office, went out of her way to offer sightseeing suggestions and was just plain sweet. The cabins are old but VERY clean and totally affordable. We loved this place.

We stayed here before and loved it so we came back for six nights this year. We had cabin 11 which is about as far from the road as you can get. Looking out over the meadow from our screened porch we saw wild turkeys and deer and on a walk up the hill behind the cabin with our dog...

Our family rented one of the cottages for our 3 day stay in Bar Harbor. When I first arrived it took some time to adjust to the outdated rustic cabin. But it didn't take long to realize the advantages of staying there. We had a 2 bedroom cabin which meant our adult son could have his own room. The kitchenette...

The pastoral setting of lupines in the foreground and Cadillac Mountain in the background was over the top! A bed, a shower and a quick cup of tea was just what we needed for our quick 48 hour tour of Acadia National Park, and Bar Harbor, Maine. Desert Island is delightful! Hutchins is close by to everything! We would definitely stay...

Read some of the other reviews, and thought I would give it a try and glad we did. Our cabin, #2, was spotless. Somewhat dated (paneling) but neat as a pin. Very small bathroom, fabricated shower stall, but did the trick. Small kitchen area, we ordered a large pizza one night and there was room on the table for two...

Nice to have a cottage & not worry about noise from next door or above like in a hotel. Kitchenette was adequate, bedroom & living area large. Bathroom a bit small & nowhere to put all your toiletries. Watched the deer come out in the meadow in the evenings & the wild turkeys in the mornings.

First rate place to stay if you prefer quiet, quality time. The owner is charming & informative. The location is right on the bus route. The cabins are clean, reasonably priced, and comfortable. There was no evidence of a roach infestation as previously mentioned in other reviews. We stayed in cabin 6, which has views of Cadillac Mountain. we REALLY...

“We were there in October so there was no need for A/C. I can see where this cabin, with no trees around may get hot during the summer.”

“Each of the cottages is configured differently, some with two full beds, or one king or queen bed, so reserve well in advance and make sure to request the configuration that best meets your needs.”
