There are dozens of cramped cottages & cabins on the outskirts of Bar Harbor. Many of them are ok if you are under 4 feet tall & under 100 lbs. Emery, Bay Meadow, etc. Great for circus midgets. Woodland Park is the real deal, 1 & 2 real bedroom cottages for adults & families. Real living rooms, real bedrooms &...

We stayed here for 3 nights during memorial day weekend. Everything from the start of the booking process was a very pleasant experience. Paul, the owner is a wonderful person to deal with. The cottage was very clean (very important for me). It's very spacious and the view is amazing. We stayed in the Mt. View cottage. Kitchen is stocked...

Pros: • Property nestled into a cove • Knowledgeable, enthusiastic property managers • Expansive screened-in porch Cons: • Aging cabin features and appliances • Compact bedrooms with basic furnishings There are some hotels which just fit with its surroundings, and the Woodland Park Cabins are a shining example. Just under four miles from Acadia National Park, and another five minutes...

I can never say enough good things about Woodland Park. Just got back from another great trip to Mt. Desert and as always stayed here. Paul and Julie (the owners) are great people. And love the rustic cabins...that even though they are close to Bar Harbor and Acadia...let you feel a little seclusion. They are on a nice cove. The...

We stayed in one of the smallest and remote units the offered and still thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The owners are most gracious and friendly folks that make you feel welcome and comfortable immediately. The grounds are fun to explore. The dock and free row boats are great and the minor cost for renting a kayak to explore the bay...

From the moment you make your reservation, Paul and Julie go out of their way to give you the best possible experience. Not just at the cottages, but on the island as a whole. They recommended hikes and activities based on our interests, the weather, etc. They have many board games to loan out to the various cabins and the...

If you want to avoid the noise of Bar Harbor and enjoy a quiet "get away" on the sea (Emery Cove) this is the place. Clean, comfortable cabins tucked into the woods with kitchens to cook your lobster, comfortable beds, beautiful screened porches for enjoying the views, rental kayaks to paddle along the shore right out your door and hosts...

We stayed in the Garden cottage for a week in August, 2014; it was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, Paul and Julie found out what aspects of Bar harbor / Mount Desert Island we were interested in experiencing and gave us pointers for how best to see them. They lent us a copy of a trail guide book for Acadia;...

My husband and I were very pleased with our little cottage at Woodland Park Cottages. We stayed in Sea Breeze - a small but charming rustic 1 bed, 1 bath cottage. Paul and Julie were great - offering advice about interesting things to do and see and (importantly) where to park in Bar Harbor. The kayaks provide an interesting way...

My husband stayed here as a child with his parents and cousins enjoyed it so much returned years later. Rustic but relaxing, beautiful, refreshing, down to earth, elevated camping. Enjoy fishing, kayaking, amazing views. Our future destination for family reunion!

“Go to the Woodland Park website and check out the cabin layouts to find one that looks right for you. I definitely recommend choosing a cabin with a screened porch -- that was a definite highlight for us!”
