This is a cute B&B in Bar Harbour within walking distance to shops, restaurants and Harbor. Run by very friendly and hospitable young couple with enthusiasm for cooking a good breakfast and having delicious cookies and tea/coffee available when desired. Rooms clean and well maintained. Good value. Breakfast is so good, the locals come to eat so there may be...

We found the B&B on the web, decided based on TripAdvisor reviews and booked for 2 nights in Feb. Anna & Ralph are warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfasts are delicious and cookies await your return each day. The bed & pillows were comfy. Each room is a different color-all cheery. Many nooks, crannies & angles in this Victorian make...

My husband and I spent a night at the Acacia House in late January. We have tended to avoid Bar Harbor in the summer because of the crowds but would definitely return for the winter activities Mt Desert has to offer. Our room was lovely with a warm very comfortable bed, crisp clean linens and down comforter. The breakfast was...

My husband and I stayed at Acacia House in late December. The decor was stunning. The food was fabulous. Our only disappointment was that the breakfast menu changed before we could try all the options--but the new menu offered just as many alluring choices. All of the food was locally sourced and the presentation showed the kind of care usually...

We visited in December when things were very quiet in Bar Harbor. The inn was cozy and we found the room to be very comfortable. The house is Victorian but the decor is artful rather than period quaint. Those who find fussy decor uncomfortable would be happy here. The hosts were pleasant, helpful and amazing cooks. We stayed two nights...

My husband and I stayed here on the last leg of our honeymoon trip. We absolutely loved it and hope to come back at some point. I wish we could have stayed longer. First, the food was unbelievable! Every morning, I woke up wondering what was going to be on the breakfast menu - it was always delicious. We ended...

Stayed here this past weekend (October 21-23, 2011) and was very happy with the experience. Anna and Ralph are both very nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We stayed in the smallest room (room4), but we generally travel lite so it was fine for us. Just don't expect a ton of space if you choose that room. The bathroom actually has quite...

This is a well-located guest house right in the middle of Bar Harbor, but like most things in the town, it's more expensive than it ought to be. The hosts were pleasant, but the room was a bit basic, with a small television, a remote control that didn't work properly, and it looked a little shabbier than I expected for...
