My husband and I stayed here for three nights this past July as part of a longer Maine/Maritimes road trip. It was definitely the most 'B&B-ish' place we stayed; teddy bears and doilies abound. Additionally, the breakfasts were very, very good. The main thing I look for in lodging--particularly in a non-parking friendly town like Bar Harbor--is location. This place...

We stayed at this B&B on our tour of New England. All our other stops were hotels and as this was the only B&B we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Winston Churchhill room which was immaculate and very comfortable. We also had our own private porch. The breakfasts were wonderfull with homemade Granola, cererals, fruit, muffins etc. and...

Very comfortable, classy and enjoyable B&B. The breakfasts were excellent. The hosts and the other guests made for interesting and informative conversations. The B&B is ideally located for access to Bar Harbor, while still providing the peace of a less traveled street. Acadia is a beautiful park to explore. We especially enjoyed the hike/climb up Precipice Trail. What a spectacular...

W e had reserved two room for three nights in August. We were returning from a trip to Nova Scotia and were planning on taking the ferry from Digby to St. John's on our way to Bar Harbor. Hurricane Irene caused the ferry to not run. We called Hearthside to let them no that we would be unable to make...

These two couples obviously were not happy with our cancellation policy, which is somewhat standard among most B&B’s here in Bar Harbor. They were told when they made their reservation and also sent a copy of it when they received their confirmation that we had a two week cancellation policy and if cancel led with less than 14 days, we...

My husband and I stayed in the Winston Churchhill room...this was the best: private porch, jacuzzi tub, comfy bed. The hosts were very accommodating and prepared wonderful breakfasts ex..homemade muffins, eggs benedict. The B&B location is perfect. We walked to dinner everynight, walked to shop. Really no need to get back in your car. There are free bus shuttles that...

The Hearthside was the best B&B that I ever stayed at. It was immaculate, comfortable and my room was so pretty! It's in an excellent location, residental so it's quite but if you walk for two blocks you're in town so you don't have to worry about taking your car everywhere. Susan and Barry are the owners, they make you...

Hearthside was a great place for my husband and me to stay during our first visit to Bar Harbor. It had everything any great B&B would have such as clean and comfortable rooms, attentive service, delicious breakfast, and tasty snack in the afternoon. What made Hearthside stand out for us was the owners' personal attention to our needs. In our...

This was our first B&B on our trip of New England. Susan and Barry were lovely hosts. Our room was nice, we could walk into town, Barry gave us tips on where to go, and the breakfasts were amazing. One thing I liked about this B&B is that at breakfast, there is a large table for guests to sit at...
