We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Thornhedge Inn. The location was perfect to walk into the town of Bar Harbor and yet only a 5 minute drive to Acadia National Park. Andrew was a perfect host with great ideas and good recommendations for dinners. The Inn is clean and beautifully decorated in the Victorian style. The rooms were...

This is a beautiful inn just a couple of blocks from town. We stayed in a front room on the second floor and had no complaints other than the re-roofing of the house and church across the street starting at 7 a.m. (certainly not any fault of Thornhedge! - and very temporary). Breakfasts were remarkable, well prepared and delicious -...

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid September. The inn is very pretty and nicely decorated in period Victorian furnishings. There was a very substantial breakfast each morning. Andrew, the owner, is very knowledgeable about the area and a good host. It is very close to the main district and an easy walk to most restaurants. We arrived well...

The location to downtown Bar Harbor was excellent - a nice walk in a pretty area. Our room was in the attic and was very old and not well kept up. The bed was not comfortable, and we had to go down the hall to the bathroom (the innkeeper did warn us about that ahead of time). But the bathroom...

We spent a few days at the inn on a mom and daughter hiking trip. Andrew was very helpful and gave us great tips regarding hiking trails. Inn is lovely, quiet and the guests friendly. The rooms are a good size and clean. We stayed in two rooms and both beds were comfy. Breakfast was delicious and an added bonus....

Andrew knows what he's doing. He runs a beautiful, welcoming, comfortable inn with just the right mix of privacy and personal attention -- not an easy balancing act, and we sometimes avoid B&Bs for that reason. Rooms are lovely and well appointed; we had the Devilstone for four nights and loved its colors and space (including an enormous bathroom that...

Thornhedge Inn is fantastic. The innkeeper Andrew does an amazing job!! Breakfast was a 4 star meal. The rooms were beautiful. Housekeeping did a great job. Wine and cheese in the evening gave everyone a chance to socialize. We met some wonderful people. The location is central to everything. I would recommend Thornhedge Inn to anyone!!!1

This beautiful home is warm and welcoming and a quick walk to down town Bar Harbor. Andrew was a great host who made us feel comfortable (and serves a delicious breakfast in the morning). The room was beautiful and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you, Andrew!

And Andrew is THE best! We had a noisy air conditioner on the first night so we didn't get much sleep. My husband spoke to Andrew about the problem and he took immediate action to ensure our stay was comfortable. We ended up staying in several different rooms as it is the peak season but, it wasn't a negative experience....

Thank you for your understanding and patience in the matter. You guys were really good sports, and you got a full tour of the house! I have since replaced every air conditioner in every room to ensure that our guests enjoy the best nights sleep possible. It was a pleasure having you both at the house with us, and I...
