This was our third stay at the Acadia Hotel within 5 years. We always know that we will have a great time. Thank you to owner, Peter, and staff members, Sharyn, Elizabeth and Kay for being so helpful.

Located across from the village green, this place is the bomb! We sat on the wrap-around porch in lovely wicker furniture, sipped icy cold lemonade free for the taking, and reveled in our supreme comfort on a hot summer's day! This is what vacation is all about! Other places have lots of noise and chatter and people milling about. The...

Hello, Thank you for your wonderful review. Acadia Hotel definitely has a certain "homey" feel to it that our guests seem to always enjoy. We love seeing guests sit out on our porch enjoying the shade from the sunshine or the cozy fires in the evening. While you enjoyed the fresh lemonade, we also have many guests who enjoy taking...

This is my first time in Maine. Based on reviews we booked a 3 night stay and are very happy with this hotel. It has more of a B&B feel. The location is perfect. Except for going to Acadia national park we didn't need our car. It is located literally next to wonderful restaurants, shops and a beautiful park. It...

I really can't say enough wonderful things about this place and the people that run it! My husband and I were able to spend seven nights for our anniversary. They even had a bottle of bubbly waiting for us when we arrived. The free bikes, hot tub, beautiful porch and easy access to so many wonderful restaurants and things to...

My husband and I had the opportunity to spend four nights/five days in Bar Harbor, Maine. If Bar Harbor itself was not incredible enough, the Acadia Hotel was absolutely fantastic. The location of this hotel was within walking distance of the most scenic water views, shopping, and restaurants. The hospitality was fabulous...the staff were always available when we needed assistance...

This historic hotel was wonderful. It is located near the village green and within walking distance of the harbor and many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the wrap around porch where fresh lemonade and a comfy chair provided a great place for reading a good book or simply watching the world go by.

3 night for a family of 4; booked the Doer Mountain Suite; 2 bedrooms, kitchenette, living/dining. Seems like the room was brand new! Well appointed, clean - perfect! Many "small touches" that make a difference: loaner bikes; fresh lemonade on the porch; fresh pastries for breakfast, excellent selections of tea. Peter and the staff are gracious and friendly. I've stayed...

This was by far our favorite place to stay in Maine. It reminded me a bit of Ring Lardner's The Golden Honeymoon with it's 19th century charm. You walk onto the wrap around porch where there was always cold lemonade to refresh you after walking around downtown. Which brings me to the next thing I love about the Acadia Hotel,...

I had the immense pleasure of staying at this downtown Bar Harbor hotel for 2 nights. My sister and I had the ground-floor room 14, complete with a very comfortable King sized bed and sofa. The room was very quiet, clean and nicely decorated with a nautical theme. The bathroom was quite spacious and scrubbed clean as well. I loved...
