My daughter booked us here because it was in walking distance of her classes, had a separate bedroom for the baby and the homeless was not supposed to be a problem. Boy was she misled! The walls were so thin you could hear the sirens all night. I never felt safe. Staff was not unfriendly but not friendly either. Not...

We initially chose this hotel for its moderate rate (as far as San Francisco goes) and amenities. Don't be scared off by its location in the Tenderloin District. We took the hotel shuttle to Pier 39 (Fisherman's Wharf) and walked around sightseeing, picked up City passes and used the Muni transportation pass to get around the city. Not sure if...

After reading reviews about the homeless near the hotel I thought can it be that bad. It was I'm afraid. The whole area is rammed with homeless. All streets around the cova have a problem. With two hostels/ soup kitchens within two blocks its very difficult to avoid. On arrival at the hotel the staff were very welcoming, first impressions...

I researched the Cova on both Tripadvisor and Yelp and decided to make a reservation for my recent trip to San Francisco. Overall, my fiancee and I had a mostly great experience at Cova. Pros: Service - all of the staff members we interacted with were very friendly, helpful and professional. We had an incident the last night we were...

Central location, nice hotel, nice rooms, parking at a reasonable fee, breakfast included. The only problem is the neighborhood: homeless people, people using marijuana at daylight time. Just need to be careful when walking around the hotel.

You get what you pay for at the Cova, At best It's an OK hotel, a few of the staff need to sue the charm school, not sure what continent the continental breakfast comes from, the only hot thing on the menu is the toast if you have the patience to wait for it to go round the conveyer a...

Me, my mom and sister were planning a girls trip to San Francisco but when we searched for hotels, they were all very expensive. We were ready to give up when my sister found the Cova and it was a great value. At first we were reluctant to book it because of the area it's in but my sister was...

Lovely neat , clean and modern rooms. Reception is also modern. Security is good, as homeless people tend to wander into buildings. You needed your key card to enter. Felt very safe. Great value. They have free shuttle at set times. To Drop and collect. You need to phone 30 mins before hand, being six we found at times that...

My husband and I stayed here during the last weekend in December 2012, and it was definitely pleasant. We didn't have any problem with noise. The room seemed very clean and well-kept. Our room with a King bed was pretty large, however, it took a while to get the room even remotely warm since the heater just blows out one...

I stayed at the Cova during a recent conference in SF. The price was unbeatable and it allowed me to stay for 1 week with the budget I had for 4 days of conference. The hotel itself is nice, nothing fancy, but the rooms are spacious, have a nice comfortable bed and a desk, and the free wifi works well....
