Had a great stay here and found the room very comfortable. Breakfast was not amazing but there is a good bagel place (posh bagel) just down the street. The one thing that annoyed me was when leaving the concierge proposed he would call a town car as this would be cheaper than a taxi. This was anything but true and...

Stayed here just for one night after having this hotel recommended by locals. Reception staff was very friendly, particularly Jeff, who was the multi-tasking, smiling type. I was upgraded to a kingsize room. Room was rather small, but niced sized bathroom. I-pod docking station and wireless internet a plus. Also enjoed complimentary wine and live music in the lobby bar....

We stayed here during our honeymoon and found this a fantastic hotel- clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. We arrived very stressed after arriving by car and dealing with an awful man at the car hire place- the hotel staff made us at ease immediately, giving us a room upgrade and glasses of champagne when they found out it...

My wife and I are coming back from 8 days in SF and area. The Rex is very well located with just about everything within walking distance. The staff was very courteous and their advice for restaurantsand car rental very reliable. The room, a Queen bed room was well decorated albeit somewhat small. The complimentary wine offered late in the...

Hotel Rex has the perfect location just off Union Square, couldnt be any closer to the action...We got the Rex on a deal where we stayed 3 nights and got one night free bringing the price down to a very reasonable rate so I would advise looking into whether you can obtain similar deals... The room was nice, a decent...

The Hotel Rex is literally a block from Union Square so it is close to everything but off the main roads so it is quiet. After touring around San Francisco we decided we couldn't have picked a better location to stay. This is a very clean well run boutique hotel with all the charm you would expect. It has a...

We stayed for 4 nights in July at the start of our holiday. We had booked a superior king, which they couldn't give us on the first night as they had a burst pipe, but the situation was handled well and we got into the right room thereafter. Hotel was in good location, close to union square and cable cars....

Lovely comfortable hotel with personal friendly welcome. Ideal location with few minutes walk to downtown. Only downside is they don't serve breakfast but there are plenty of nice places that do on your doorstep.

My partner and I landed in San Fran and went straight to the Rex where we'd booked 4 nights accommodation at the start of our holiday travellling the PCH. Hotel was perfectly situated on the edge of Union Square and just a stone's throw away from the breakfast paradise of Sears (best pancakes in California!). The staff were very friendly...

The hotel is very well located. It is clean and comfortable. Perhaps the only thing to criticise is the bad isolation against the noise: We could hear the traffic and the voices from our 4th floor room. Most of all we will remember Hotel Rex for how Brian Hansen, the Director of Operations, helped us. By checking-out, our rented car...
