The hostel itself was fine. The bad rating is because we were pepper sprayed by the woman who runs the front desk at night. If we had done something wrong it may be understandable, but honestly it was the most insane response I've ever seen ... Two of us had reservations at the hostel that night and met up with...

The main area, restaurant and the rooms have hardly any windows so there is no daylight nor fresh air. Our 10 people mixed dorm in the basement seemed more like a long hallway with 5 bunkbeds in a row than a room. Overall the staff was helpful but one lady was rather unfriendly and sometimes angry.

We had a family of 6 for a 3 day stay in San Fran and wanted to stay at the Adelaide so took a 6 dorm room, instead of going to their sister hostel the Dakota. Check-in was painless. The room itself was fine with the ability to store our luggage under the beds giving us a little more breathing...

This was my second time staying at Adelaide. Last time was fantastic. This time I would be hesitant to return as the night time desk staff was very rude. I arrived late at night and forgot about the key deposit. My card wouldn't work in their ATM so I asked her if she could hold my passport until I came...

This is the best hostel I've stayed at so far throughout my travels. I stayed in a 9 bed doorm. Bed's were super comfy, had two outlets for each bed, curtains to make your bed private and dark. Had a bed lamp and a shelf along the bed to put stuff on if you wanted. Personal locker under the bed....

This tucked-away down an alley gem of a hostel is my favorite place to stay when in San Francisco. I recently stayed (again) for 4 days... I always try to get one of the smaller, dorm rooms... 4 people max. I suggest others do that as well. Try to get a room that does not have windows on the Isadora...

Lots of restos around and pharmacies sell fruits and salads there...testing ground for future retail concepts...go see alcatraz if...

We stayed 4 nights here with a friend, we couldn't book the all—female room so we stayed at the 6—beds mixed room. The first night we were actually the only ones sleeping there, but the next nights we shared the room and we had no problem, everyone was very respectful, and although this may not be everyone's experience, i believe...

Good location, walking distance to many buses, restaurants and mall. Really nice hostel, helpfull and friendly staff. I stayed in the downstairs 10 Bed Mixed Dorm, beds are really confortable, enjoyed the privacy with curtains and the plug for your smartphone or laptop. Lockers. Sometimes not quiet because of other guests who don't care about others, but most of the...

Central location, nice private room, comfortable beds, lots of hot water and great breakfasts. Draw backs were the broken washing machines and unfriendly staff. They were not welcoming at all. It's great value and great location
