Great staff and great location but I recommend staying when you can sleep with closed windows. I stayed there on an unusually hot summer day and heard cars accelerating to go up the hill next to the hotel for most of the night. Room was...More
This was my 3rd stay at the Nob Hill Inn. Previously I've stayed in the "hotel" type room, and the 1bedroom w/ partial kitchen. This time, I had the smallest room, "efficiency", however, I would take the smallest room at the Nob Hill Inn over...More
The Nob Hill Inn is a fine old establishment. It was built in 1907. Some of the rooms are small but the place has charm. One should try to book one of the larger rooms in the front. Now the front is a bit noisy...More
This is the first time I have written a review on TA, but we have just returned from our 'trip of a lifetime' touring the West Coast USA and National Parks, and want to help anyone else out who is looking to do the same....More

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that
followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.

We booked through rci and received tiny (even though we have platinum) room 11. I'm not sure if you can request a certain unit. I would contact the hotel before booking through rci, maybe they can help you decide
