Booked as part of a big 50th Birthday get-a-way, we found the Parker Guesthouse and staff to be a great place to stay in the Castro. Minutes of a walk to the heart of the Castro and extra personable staff made our short stay a return trip! The guesthouse staff even recommended a excellent limo service to and from the...

My sister-in-law and I took a long girl's weekend getaway to San Francisco and decided to stay at a bed and breakfast. Parker Guest House did not disappoint. We loved it! The staff was extremely friendly and cheerful, and always there to help if we needed anything at all. The rooms are gorgeous and very clean. The beds were very...

Stayed there for a week on business. Wanted a small place with friendly staff that felt more like home than a hotel. The Partker Guest House delivered on both. Scott welcomed me and made me feel at home in SanFranciso. He assisted me in getting around the City. I really appreciated the warm greetings from the staff and the welcome...

We stayed here on our honeymoon: arrived at Parker Guest House after a long flight to a very friendly welcome from Scott - he checked us in really quickly, helped us get parked and brought a glass of wine through to our room. The guest house is really pretty - a real haven in the middle of the city. The...

We had the pleasure of staying at the Parker Guest House last week when my partner was in San Francisco for a professional conference -- our third stay at this wonderful place, though it has been four years. We were pleased to see that it remains a truly wonderful "home" for us in this city. It is a lovely and...

Never usually write reviews but i used trip advisor so much for my America trip i thought i would give something back! I stayed here in May with my boyfriend. Like most reviews on here we were pleased with the lovely interiors and beautiful garden, which unlike motels, made for a great environment to relax/hang out after seeing the city...

This place is well-located for many activities in San Francisco. It is beautifully decorated in the public spaces, with inviting lounges and lovely outdoor garden spaces for relaxing. The staff was very hospitable and couldn't have been nicer. Why not a better rating? The room was small with only one reading lamp for a queen bed. Breakfast was roughly on...

We decided to make a trip to San Francisco for my birthday weekend and found out about Parker Guest House while searching on line. We definitely made the right decision! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place has managed to keep it's charm while still having the modern conveniences that we needed. A GREAT place to stay!

This is a fantastic B&B. The homes and garden are beautifully updated but most impressive is how comfortable they make you feel. Breakfast on the back porch was a wonderful way to start the day. My husband is always skeptical of B&B's now this is where he says he wants to stay every trip to San Francisco. It is also...

Staying in The Castro

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
