Entirely clean, nice bath facility, good continental breakfast. Very accommodating staff. The room was cold (no trace of weatherstripping on windows) and remarkably dark. Conversely, if the room were bright, then the wonderful period decor would have been compromised. This 1898 landmark is a great little piece of history. Once I slowed down for a second and got past the...

The Queen Anne hotel's building is more than 120 years old and began life as a girls school. The architecture is wonderful, and the antique furnishings in the drawing room and hallways are a perfect match. Given that it's an old building, one should not expect perfection in some of the rooms. Our bathroom, for instance, had an odd/interesting placement...

You will either like or hate the Queen Anne. It depends on your taste. If you are into doilies and floral patterns, cherub statues and portraits of the ancestors, musty smell of old drapes and chandeliers, then this is the place for you. Not my taste, but I was there for one night only during a road trip. Among the...

Took the advice of other reviewers and booked a room here. It was old, as expected, but very charming. The staff was nice also. We had a problem with no available parking one day but they cheerfully refunded the parking fee (plus tax - tax on parking?!!) This location was great - close to everything. We would stay here again....

My wife and I found a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in the Pacific Heights district of San Francisco called the Queen Anne. The Queen Anne, located on Sutter Street, is a Victorian build in the 1890’s, and has just over 40 rooms. The Queen Anne offers a continental breakfast, afternoon tea and sherry (and cookies) and best of all, local...

After several nights on our road trip in boring, conventional chain hotels, what a wonderful surprise the Queen Anne was! the decor was wonderfully over the top - draperies, overstuffed sofas, antique and repr dark wood furniture, wood paneled walls hung with tapestries - it felt like visiting a rich if somewhat eccentric maiden aunt. The staff were friendly and...

Our room, and every public room, is full of history and its artifacts. The sitting areas, with 2 fireplaces, are furnished with authentic love seats, chairs, and tables. The lamps, although electric, look like they could have been made in the early 1900s. The staff was gracious and concerned about the quality of our stay. The free breakfast was tasty...

I booked my elderly mother for a stay at the Queen Anne last week. She was travelling solo, cross country, basically to say goodbye to her dying sister. I wanted her to be nearby to the care facility, in a hotel with top quality service. We found this in the Queen Anne. Michael and the front desk staff took extra...

We stayed at the Queen Anne in May of 2011 for two nights. Our room was clean, had a comfortable queen bed and a working fireplace (room 212). The bathroom was small but adequate, no shelf or counter area for makeup, etc. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast with coffee, tea, juice, hard boiled eggs, sausage patties, cereals, breads and...

We stayed one Saturday night at the Queen Anne while attending a concert in San Francisco. It was a quick walk to our venue (Yoshi's). This was our first trip back to the QA after being married there 10 years ago. It was just as beautiful as we remembered it. The beds, linens and other room furniture are lavish. Given...
