This place is very, very basic. I found it on the San Francisco Opera website and thought it sounded nice. But our bed, pillows and linens were really terrible. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, the pillows hard, flat little things, and the linens more...More
Stayed here for 4 nights while in San Francisco. A grewt location close to MUNI. Nice owners with great restaurant below. Small breakfast is included which was nice to have. Price was reasonable for the city. No elevator...but everything else was great. Rooms were clean,...More
After searching for a good and not too expensive hotel, I came across Sleep Over Sauce. It is a cozy B&B with few rooms, so it feels almost like having your own apartment in San Francisco. The rooms are small but clean and good, and...More
This place is awesome. It's a great mix of Air B n B type and a boutique hotel. The staff is super friendly and they stay out of your way at the same time. Our room was the one in back with light and vey...More
The most attractive recommendation for Sleep Over Sauce is its location in Hayes Valley--best neighborhood ever in SF. My husband and I visited SF to run in the Bay-to-Breakers race, so this hotel was right on the Muni line, convenient to everything we did. We...More

Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.

The parking is kind of iffy. I really enjoyed the hotel but I wish I would have looked up to see what the parking was like, thankfully one of the days I stayed was free street parking. And we got a spot right up front...Because other than that there isn't any. I was told I could park the car a "few" blocks away at a garage that charged 20/night and closed their gates at all different times depending on the day. So. Be mindful you will have to otherwise pay street parking and move your car.
