Decent hotel located in the heart of Japan Town. You can walk to the mall through the hotel and many restaurants are located within walking distance. They give you a bottle of wine with your booking which was a nice touch.

As others have noted, this hotel is in desperate need of the renovations currently in progress. Not sure if they have started on the rooms yet or just the public areas. We were given a quiet room away from the construction. That was the good part. As for the room itself, the TV did not work, the jets in the...

The hotel is a great little gem adjacent to the Japan center. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nice with a Japanese flair. The location is ideal and its right next to the Japan Center which had convenient parking as well. The only issue we had is that the hotel is being renovated and unfortunately...

I needed a place to stay locally so that I wouldn't pass along my cold to my family, and decided to check out the Kabuki, where I had previously attended meetings. The Japantown neighborhood has lots of restaurants, a Sundance movie multiplex (expensive), and easy access to downtown and the northern part of San Francisco. The famous Fillmore club is...

Great area, not far from bay and Golden Gate, a lot of good restaurants nearby, nice and helpful staff. Rooms might require some renovation. Anyway I do recommend this place both business and family trip .

Interestingly enough when I checked in online I was asked if I wished to upgrade to a deluxe room for $20. I did so but did not see any difference in the room from previous stays. In fact my husband I were debating whether or not it was the same room as a previous stay. We concluded that it was...

We're deeply sorry to hear the disturbance, as we've worked hard to mitigate impact on guests during this time of transition. We appreciate your loyalty and hope we'll have the opportunity to better exceed expectations the next time you're in the city. Thank you for the feedback, and our apologies for the shortcomings this time around.

A wonderful stay. Staff was quite friendly. We checked in earlier than thought, yet staff easily accommodated us. Room was very clean, comfortable with a great view of S.F. Huge TV. We utilized the valet parking with a reasonable cost (regular parking available in underground facility...also reasonable, esp for S.F.) Central location worked with eateries down the road. Hotel breakfast...

Everything was perfect during my stay, even with the renovations happening. Clean rooms, thoughtful service, privacy... I will definitely be recommending this to friends and colleagues traveling to San Francisco.

Had a great over night stay. Meet my sister and brother-in- law for dinner and went to a play. I visit the city usually once a month and visit family and friends. Also like shopping in the city. And the great restaurants.

Apparently there are good values to be had at this hotel during its renovation process. That's one reason why we picked it for our family stay on the SF portion of a week-long California vacation; the other was its location in Japan Center in Japantown, as an interesting alternative to downtown, Union Square, or Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel is old...
