Stayed for only one night, but will definitely return and highly recommended if you're looking to be truly treated well. Marty is a crack up, funny guy, and makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Liza is super sweet, and eager to please. As we were shown the property, our bags were taken to...

We selected the Inn primarily for its location near a family member. We knew its bedroom was likely to be smaller than at a nice hotel, and indeed it was. The Queen bed and other furniture consumed most of the floor space even before our luggage was put down. The mattress bulged in the middle but otherwise was comfortable. Nighttime...

Excellent room and service. Staff are professional and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and there is plenty of food and variety. The interior is well kept and the gardens and rooftop make this Inn a one of kind experience. Thanks Marty, Lisa and Megan

This was a gem of a hotel, Marty and Lisa could not have been kinder or more patient. The victorian mood of the large downstairs sitting room is amplified by candlelight (real) and gentle classical music that played constantly. Port and sherry decanters left out for a quiet snifter before bed after the rigours of sightseeing. Fresh buffet breakfast in...

Our stay at Inn San Francisco was too short and quite delightful. The hosts were magnificent, the accommodations pleasant and roomy, the food excellent. We were able to get free on-street parking, and parking is available nearby if needed. Walkable neighborhood, good public transit, reasonable pricing.

It was my first trip to San Francisco and this place was a treat! It's a short bus ride from Fisherman's Wharf, but there's plenty to do just by walking around the neighborhood. This location is easily accessible to the 101 as well as lot of opportunities to catch public transportation. Our host, Marty, was quick to make suggestions for...

My husband and I were really pleased with Inn San Francisco. Our room was small (which we knew upon making the reservation) but there were many perks to this historic hotel: 1) beautiful outdoor hottub to ease our stiff legs after walking up and down the hills of San Fran; 2) rooftop patio with a spectacular view; 3) character and...

We arrived on Monday evening and were greeted warmly by Marty, the innkeeper who gave us a short tour and history of the place. He helped us find a wonderful place for dinner and offered to call us a cab. We had dinner with friends and when we came back late, Marty was still there and welcomed us home :)...

Stayed there a few years ago my wife. Host is very friendly and helpful. Love their breakfast. The room we stayed has a jacuzzi which is great. It is such a relaxing place that my wife and I enjoyed. It is hard to find this kind of gem in San Francisco. Highly recommended.

From the moment we arrived we were treated by a warm and very friendly staff. The rooms and inn are immaculate with loads of Victorian character and charm. Great breakfast too. Attention to detail throughout the inn. I loved the classical music and garden jacuzzi. I brought my mother who grew up in SF and my two teens and found...

Staying in Mission District

Neighbourhood Profile
Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighbourhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighbourhoods in the country.
