I was looking for something of quality but not super-expensive. My room was upgraded, so probably better than originally booked. I thought the decor and the quality of furnishings were nice, the shower worked well, and the bed was very comfortable. The windows open to the fresh air, and this is also very nice. It is an older building, but...

Very nice and personal. The evening reception and breakfast were excellent and we enjoyed meeting and making friends with fellow travelers from all over the world. Staff was exceptional, room was large and comfortable. The fireplace added a romantic and warming touch. WiFi was flakey at times and the property could use an update but overall a very satisfying stay....

All employees were helpful and friendly, very professional. Breakfast quiche was not tasty but other selections for breakfast were very good. Social time in the late afternoon with wine and snacks was great, an opportunity to relax and spend time with other guests.

We had a great stay, the staff was helpful and friendly. Also, the social hour in the evening was a great way to meet other people staying at the b&b. Close to attractions and various restaurants. Fun!

This hotel is in an excellent downtown location, close to Union Square, shopping and within walking distance of Chinatown for example. Service at the hotel was good, very helpful front desk and good facilities and nice little touches. Standard room was small but pretty and fine for a city trip. You are warned that as an old building there will...

From exceedingly kind and helpful staff to a very attractive and well-appointed room and fine breakfasts, Petite Auberge stands out amongst San Francisco's hotels, and in fact is a rival for any hotel at which I have stayed elsewhere. Its location is a further plus, for it sits amidst an array of restaurants and other attractions in the city centre....
