Palace is a luxurious oasis from some of the unsavory aspects of downtown SF. if you are brought to this area for business or attending a conference at the nearby Moscone. Absolutely stunning property. Worth the extra money for the experience
I stayed at the Palace Hotel for the last two nights of my four night trip to San Francisco. The Financial District location is excellent, with the Montgomery Street BART/Muni station right on the corner.
I reserved the lowest category of room (Superior), which was...More
Awesome stay at The Palace for two nights. Staff was very attentive and the dessert left in our room for our anniversary was a nice touch. Room was spotless, spacious and very comfortable for family of 4. Also, our room was extremely quiet- never would...More

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
