If you need free parking and a good location this is the place. Affordable for San Francisco and within walking distance to many tourist attractions and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and bathroom appeared to be recently updated. Only downside is the rooms are noisy as Lombard St is very busy.

Stayed here for four nights. Chose this hotel for easy access from Fort Bragg and parking. I had read the reviews and knew there was building work going on next door, which reception apologised for when I checked in, but it did not prove to be a problem. Our room was on the side of the building facing a wall...

I stayed here because of the good price and close proximity to fisherman's wharf. The Lombard motor inn is clean, friendly and good value. It's just a block downhill from Van Ness Street where you'll find the main Muni bus lines. From the airport, I took the BART to Civic, then took the Muni metro / underground railroad one stop...

Spent two nights here while in San Francisco. Very nice area. Walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf and other tourist attractions. Hotel is a little outdated but clean and comfortable. We had a nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge from our patio. Room overlooked Lombard street so was a little noisy; loud traffic all night. I travel with earplugs and...

We stayed here and it was comfortable clean and quiet. That being said, the entire stay felt utterly impersonal. The hotel staff was polite to a point, but no one ever went out of there way to make us feel welcome.

Free parking !! Wow, what a find for Fishermans wharf , fantastic location , rooms are as you would expect a little dated but plenty of room for family. Ideal base to spend a couple of nights exploring . Breakfast easy to get at several fantastic locations nearby .. we tried a couple of different ones

Defiantly no early check inns available , We were able to leave our bags in the laundry, not sure how secure they were , as the door was left wide open and the staff member was not always in their. But better then walking them all over San Fran. Check in is 3pm So it made it a long day...

Stayed here before. Very good value for money. Lived the free parking and that no breakfast offered making it more like you have you own private quarters. Ice, WiFi and other amenities perfectly fine. Five star is for value for money. The hotel is located within walking distance of tram and lots of good local restaurants.

My husband and I stayed at the Lombard Inn for 3 nights in mid April 2017. This is an older hotel but has nice upgrades. Our room was on the third floor and had a nice little balcony with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They have covered parking which was great for...

Generally the reception staff are rude and unhelpful, Only on the 1st night were they polite and willing to provide hot water for a baby's bottle (All of the other hotels visited while on our road trip provided hot water for the baby) . The hotel is tired and smells stale and musty. Also the lift broke down once during...

We are sorry you had an unpleasant stay. We do have hot water in our laundry room. The problem sometimes is that the staff is busy and cannot leave the desk to take you there. Most guest just pour plain water through the coffee pot and get hot water that way. The Lombard has been here many years, we take...

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
