We visited from Singapore for a work trip. The rooms were very clean, staff was very helpful. Housekeeping did a great job over the week long stay. Light breakfast provided in the lobby and beverages are available throughout the day. Had a great stay and will come back again!

Excellent quality beds and sheets for a restful night sleep. There is a simple but good continental breakfast each morning and hot tea and cookies in the evening. This is in a very nice location where you can walk easily to all kinds of eateries and shops. As this is San Francisco, hotels are very expensive so this one is...

The room was small, at the breakfast there wasn't much to eat. There was 4 of us in one room and we were squished but the pool was refreshing and the hammocks were nice too. I rate it a average hotel.

I never do reviews... but this hotel was so bad, that I feel compelled to complete this review. When I arrived at the hotel, I went to, what appeared to me, the obvious door on the street. This door was locked and a man was wildly gesturing for me to come around the corner to a much less obvious door....

For the price, it was a lot less than expected. Customer service was great. Staff was kind and attentive when needed....but not too intrusive when not. As for the room, it was smaller than I anticipated. Also, the walls were so thin that the family with small children next door, sounded like they were in the room with us. Aesthetically...

room was quiet and clean. manager was responsive to a problem. breakfast was hardly worthwhile - there's lots of coffee shops nearby that will be far superior. can't believe the parking charge (which, btw, is taxable!!!). will return if the price is competitive.

My room was musty, with a couch that was filthy. The room was large but tired and the furniture smelled so bad I didn't want to sit anywhere. The fridge had broken doors and shelves. When I complained, nothing was done to resolve the issues.

From booking with the hotel to checking out after our stay - everything was fantastic! Oscar was by far the best and went above and beyond. The free breakfast got us going in the morning and the hotel was in a great location! Great experience!

This hotel was away from the main tourist areas but still within walking distance to most attractions and transport links. It offered good access to s variety of eating areas. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.

Designed to celebrate California's lively culture, the Hotel Del Sol is a cheerful explosion of the West Coast spirit. Once a 50s-style motor lodge, it has been newly transformed to offer the stylings and personalized service of a boutique hotel. The spacious guestrooms evoke the bright and airy interior of a California beach house. Relaxing hammocks, a sparkling pool and towering palm trees in the courtyard is a colorful feast for the eyes. ... more   less
