Stayed at this Marriott for 11nights over Christmas. This Marriott was quite a letdown. Regular rooms are very small. As Gold members we got an upgrade to a Junior Suite only to find out that this is what this hotel calls a corner room. Having stayed in Junior Suites before at different hotels, including Marriott, there is a certain standard...

Like many have mentioned, there are a lot of dodgy people in the area as my first real San Francisco moment was public urination and the smell of legalised weed just rounding the corner from the hotel. The hotel is your basic business hotel that could use a bit of freshening up of the decor. It's location is faultless as...

Had a 2 nite business stay. While a few block walk to the BART, the hotel is in a very nice area. Lots of dining options and shopping nearby. The cable car also goes right by the side of the hotel but noise did not bother me. Check in was efficient as were the elevators. Room temperature could be easily...

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The hotel is in the main happening area of the city that is union square. Cable car, union square and all public conveyances just in front of the hotel comes on very handy to stay.

This is a very good hotel in a good location. Service was friendly and good; my room service order was delivered on time. My room was fine-a decent size, and well maintained. There were many outlets for my electronic devices. Two negatives: The high speed wifi option was weak and inconsistent. And the bathroom was a bit small.

I stayed at this hotel for only one night in January. Union Square is a very central area for tourist sights in San Francisco. In the immediate walking area are high end stores and many restaurants. There is also a cable car stop right outside the hotel across the street. Perfect to hop on and take you down to the...

Hotel was very convenient. I was in town for work and it was easy to walk to the Convention Center, and enjoy the shops/restaurants along the way. Common areas were clean, staff was very friendly, and the room was exactly as you would expect.

Staff was friendly at check-in. Bit of a confusing layout in the lobby, but not a big deal. You are paying for price - room décor and equipment is rather old fashioned. Dull bar off the lobby - and thankfully many other nearby places to choose from. Room service was OK, but expensive (again - paying for location near Union...

This was my first trip to San Francisco and it was truly a great visit (despite the rain and cold). The Marriott Union Square is a great location, right in the heart of fabulous shopping and very near Big Bus, Cable Car and Trolley stops (for easy access public transport). The staff was friendly and professional, always opening the door...

The hotel is very well located 1 block away from Union Square and main stores and attractions.
