Woudn't normally stay here but got a great rate for a couple of nights. Situated a block or so from the water, this is primarily a tourist hotel. Few faciities in the lobby other than a free breakfast which is a bit of a zoo each morning so I would give it a miss. Rooms are a reasonable size, clean,...

It was weekday, and there were plenty of free street parking, just by the hotel...when we asked if its safe/ok to park overnight on the street, they said: we cant provide any information.. u better park in our parking.. 45$ vs. Free on the street. After checking with few locals, decided to park on the street and that was a...

I have been staying at too many new HI Expresses so had some dissapointments. No wifi except in the lobby, even the wired ethernet in rooms was very slow. Rooms are really small. At least the one I stayed in. A "free night" so I am sure they put me in the least desirable. No room for coffee maker, almost...

I love this hotel because it is clean, very simple, great location and this time had a view of Alcatraz! There is everything you need close by, transport to everywhere in SF, good food, shopping and sightseeing. If you want to save your money for the fun stuff then I highly recommend this place. I will be back for sure

Nice hotel, easy walk to most attractions. Please note added expense of 50 dollars a day valet parking. There were a lot of groups staying. Free breakfast,Get down early as it is hard to find table. Nice variety of hot and cold dishes. Had to keep drapes closed in room because of building next door.Annoying was that room had one comfort...

This was a perfect little room (but everything is in SF) for just a couple getaway. So close to walk to many attractions and just around the block to those places you need to ride muni to access. Breakfast was typical hotel supplied breakfast and crowded, but hey it's free so I can't complain. The room was clean and only...

Great staff, well presented, friendly, clean, secure, good breakfast and wi fi. Priority Club members get treated even better with top floor exclusive and a few treats and recognition. Definitely the way to go. Location is excellent and close to everything in the Fishermans Wharf area. We walked to the Golden Gate which took about an hour and a half...

After traveling all day (up at 4:15 a.m.) we checked into our room at 3:00 p.m. (check in time), went to the room, but the maid was still cleaning it. She said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I went back to the front desk to tell them, they looked in their computer and said that the room was...

To be honest, we only chose to stay here because the free breakfast made us feel like we would be saving money compared to staying at other similarly priced hotels that didn't offer the free breakfast. Blah, the eggs every morning were quite disgusting. I could barely swallow the one bite I tried. For me, eggs are key to breakfast...so...

The location is great -- short walking distance to the wharf area and anything else on your list. I would have given it an "Excellent" rating but felt the breakfast area fell a bit short. The scrambled eggs and omelets were not so great and it was impossible to get to anything because of the constant crowds in the area....
