Cannot recommend you to not stay here enough! It was awful. We booked a private room after staying in a hostel in Boston and having a pleasant stay. It was not the same, room was horrible- was small and stuffy and had no furniture other than the bunk beds (which were tiny) and a dirty sink in the corner! We...

Whenever we go to San Francisco my wife and I try to stay at the midtown hostel. Just a couple blocks from Union Square it's in the heart of the tourist district. Seriously- why pay fancy prices for location when the hostel is across the street? This is an old hotel probably built 1910-1920. Nothing fancy. Staff is super friendly,...

Myself and my friend had been travelling around California staying in hostels during August and up until this hostel had experienced great service. However, on our first nights stay after a long day of travelling we both couldn't sleep and were in pools of sweat only to realise that there was a scalding heater beside our beds (now why there...

The hostel is dirty, the restrooms did not work for one day. Breakfast DIY really bad they only have pancakes but there is a large queue to make your pancakes ( a waste of time). We reserved a private room and they did not respected that they separate us in two different rooms. Only one electrical outlet for 4 persons....

This hostel was the worst that we have ever been !!! We got a booking for 3 nights with twin beds instead of that we got bunk beds. The free breakfast is not really one, it's only some pancake dough waiting in a disgusting recipient that you find a clean pan to cook it by yourself. And it's "irst here,...

What a great place to stay in San Francisco. The room was very clean and well maintained for its age. The staff were friendly and very helpfull. There is a basic free breakfast but there is a huge kitchen where you can cook your own meals. The cafe and bar is a good place to meet others at the end...

After looking around for where to stay in San Francisco we decided on the San Francisco International Hostel and it was a good decision! Firstly it's in a prime location and we were easily able to get around the city. The hostel itself provides good facilities and staff are super friendly. While staying we had hired bikes and were conscious...

In fairness the staff were nice but that's all it has going for it. I stayed with 2 friends for 3 nights and couldn't wait to leave after the first hour. From stained mattresses (I'm hoping it was vomit or else I dread to think) to dirty bathrooms to unhygienic kitchens. It really is appalling, I felt sorry for the...

This place is cheap for a reason. If you're on an extremely tight budget, the people are nice enough but that's where the positives end. I had to pay $3 for a towel and went to the bathroom to find it dirty, slimy and barely any working showers. The one I finally ended up using had the shower head taped...

Don't waste your money and your time in this terrible place!! You cannot feel safe here at all! You barely can sleep tranquil. I had sunglasses stolen from INSIDE of my bag. The hostel's responsible told me that they will solve my problem, that they will help, that if the suspect person (which Asal Honey, one of the receptionists, saw...
