Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the doormen(Chris in particular) and housekeeping staff is tops. Hotel lobby is very tastefully decorated as is the bar/restaurant area. Location is only 2-3 blocks from both Union Square and Westfield Mall(Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's, among others)

Thank you for sharing! I will be sure to share with Chris, his colleagues and housekeeping. It sounds like you also got some great shopping done nearby. If you have the chance to visit again, please let our concierge know if we can help make new shopping or dining recommendations! Regards, Christian Klaus Hotel Manager

You can't beat the location. Great for walking around and extremely close to the transit system. The service in the hotel is excellent. The fitness facility is the best I've ever been in a hotel. We've stayed here the last 2 visits for San Francisco and will definitely be back.

Thank you for making Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco your home away from home, and your go-to place when visiting! I'm very happy to hear that our team in the hotel and our colleagues at Equinox Sports Club provided excellent service. I look forward to welcoming you back soon. We book this hotel because it listed that it had a pool, but we found out at check-in that they do not allow children under 16 to use the pool. We were very disappointed. The St. Patrick's Day Parade was on Market street in front of the Hotel, so the traffic and getting around town was the worst.

I'm sorry that it was not clear that the pool at Equinox Sports Club only allows children 16 years and older in the lap pool. For our younger guests, we do offer complimentary pool passes to a neighboring hotel. The festivities for St. Patrick's Day parade do go down Market Street, and unfortunately there were road closures around the hotel....

This is a sweet little hotel. Service is nice, except when I called for room service, nobody answered, so I went to Starbuck's. Next to the newer shopping center, with bloomingdales, Nordstrom, etc.. You can walk to everything.

I was happy to hear that the hotel's central location was helpful to your visit. However, I am sorry that you did not receive proper room service. If there is an opportunity to speak with you further about your stay, I can be reached at christian.klaus@fourseasons.com. Regards, Christian Klaus Hotel Manager

Predictably excellent in the accommodations, cleanliness, and quiet setting. This hotel is conveniently located downtown although tucked away a bit in an alley for drop off of passengers. This is actually a plus in that you don't have to fight the downtown traffic to get in a cab or be dropped off by a friend.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us, as well as the surrounding area. Having two entrances to the hotel, one on Market St. and the other on Stevenson St (what you used), is convenient and I'm glad that it was beneficial for you. I hope to welcome you both back soon! The Four Seasons is a great hotel to stay at in the San Francisco area. It's in a great location--close to a lot of restaurants and landmarks and has easy access to public transportation. It's also a great place for business meetings and conferences. My room had a great view of the city. It was of decent size and loved...

I appreciate your feedback about your stay with us. From the hotel, what restaurants and landmarks did you walk to? San Francisco is a great walking city (despite the hills) and our public transportation helps, especially those cable cars. I'm happy to hear that room service was quick and that you enjoyed the food. We appreciate that our guests love...

I stayed here for a conference. The rooms are quiet, well appointed, and luxurious. Room service is efficient and delicious. Nice lobby and exceptional service. The only thing to note is that they aren't great at identifying return visitors but it really doesn't impact anything other than an initial greeting of, "welcome back".

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
