The room was great, very confortable with a changing room. The location is very nice, though is over a hill top so when you come back from Union Square you have to walk upwards, but this is San Francisco!! The breakfast was very poor, and the staff in general didn't provide much help, even one clerk fail to give simple...

We stayed three night at The Grant Hotel in June. As it was part of a road trip we had quite a tight budget and this hotel was pretty much the only one we could afford. We encountered two reception staff. One extremely helpful (mid forties guy with glasses) and the other couldn't of been less helpful. Our room was...

I know accommodation in San Fran is expensive for what you get but this place was terrible. Photos looked nothing like the actual room. Would have to one of the worst hotel rooms I have stayed in and especially given the hefty price! Would look for better options.

The hotel is located very close to Union Square and it is in a very handy position to visit the city. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice bathroom, powerful shower and very quiet. The bed was comfortable and clean and all in all we had some sound sleep and relaxing nights. The free Wifi was reliable and...

The lobby is very nice, but the rooms were a bit of a disappointment; small, older, not well taken care of, but clean; no frig or microwave; front desk staff is not at all helpful or friendly; we didn't eat any of the continental breakfast - nothing healthy, not even a jug of water; there are a couple of computers...

I have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. There was no aircon and only a ceiling fan in the room. I find it quite cooling at night so it was not an issue to me. I enjoyed the muffins and pastries and there were plenty to choose from. The hotel is located about 5 block from BART and you...

So the reviews here are clearly up and down, and I've not got too much to add, it's not the Ritz but the location is very good and - by SF standards - it's reasonably affordable. We had no issues with bad smells or cleanliness or anything else weird as some have experienced, reception was courteous and efficient, and the...

Really good location 5 min walk to chuna town, 10 min walk to union square and cable car stop only 15 meters from the hotel. Rooms were clean but pillows not so comfortable. Breakfast was not so good only sweets such as muffin, cinnamon roles and there was no real milk to the coffee. When hiking the windy street of...

First impression was okay. friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of baked goods and coffe are complimentary in the morning. The room was clean, and a decent size, but there are some very simple improvements that would really make a big difference in comfort. First; get some decent pillows. We don't mind a fairly firm bed, but thin...

Stayed in The Grant Hotel for 3 nights in San Francisco. Very good location right at the start of China Town , close to shops, restaurants, BART and the Powell cable car line. Receptionists were pleasant, helpful and good. The rooms were a decent size and clean enough. Free tea/coffee only at reception/lobby area
