Before I came here I read the reviews online and nearly had a heart attack. But when I arrived it was really pleasant and quite nice. The room looked recently renovated and the hotel offered free wifi which is always a plus. The shower floods a bit at the bottom when the waters on but not that bad. They also...

The hotel was okay. The room got very cold at night, but was modern, big room with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was in reception we either took it to the room or drove somewhere with a view which wasn't a problem

Nice hotel located close to the Golden Gate Bridge and Palace of Fine Arts. Decently priced without breaking the bank. We stayed 3 days 2 nights. Parking is at a minimum but when your in San Francisco take the Muni instead. Clean comfortable rooms.

Location for us was great, away from hustle but easy walked to main attractions. Not many places to eat so eat before returning home. Free breakfast was just fruit, croissant, coffee and juice but it was free so can't complain although as gf I couldn't eat much. Bit dated but clean

Decent hotel located near Golden Gate. Room is a bit small for a single family. Breakfast is just good enough. Although, I was expecting something better for the price. TV cable is really high quality. But, the Internet was slow. Parking lot for compact or small cars.

It has it all. Definitely would go back and send the friend. It is not luxurious hotel, but it is clean and no traffic noise. Parking spot is small, but there is plenty spots right on front of motel on the street.

I traveled with my husband in April 2016 for a sightseeing vacation in San Fran. We were looking for a simple hotel to spend the nights after touring the city all day. The Country Hearth Inn was a great location, just far enough off the main part of Lombard St. to make it a little quieter, but still close enough...

We stayed here for 3 nights and chose it for price and location - given the great price we were not expecting the Ritz! The staff here were very friendly and helpful, staying up to let us check in late at night, and they also allowed us to leave our suitcases in reception on the morning we checked out. The...

I visited this hotel with me and my two children ages five and 10. I was nervous about this trip because my husband had to stay home due to something that came up at work end it would just be me and my girls. You never know what you're going to get when you reserve a hotel online not knowing...

Away from crowd and noise but still in nice area with a lot of restaurants and close to major attractions. Bus stop nearby will get you anywhere. Rooms can get new carpet and new furniture but comfortable bed, hot shower, wifi, coffee with rolls and fruit was sufficient for us. Spent most if our days in town anyway.

Staying in Marina District

Neighbourhood Profile
Marina District
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city. With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.
