I have a lot to say this time. At first, I made a booking via the online-booking-system which worked out pretty well. We had to change the date after we made the booking and one of the staff members changed everything and was very helpful in general. We had a 3 hour delay so we got our baggage at 11.45pm...

Very friendly community. I chose this place from the reviews and the location. You're only a few blocks from the Montgomery Station BART. Also, the staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

I loved the employees at Pacific Tradewinds. They were so welcoming from the moment I stepped into the community room. Zee, Kai, Jane, and anyone else who I have forgotten-you were generous and made my stay in San Fran a great one. My fellow hostel mates were kind as well. The overall atmosphere of Pacific Tradewinds is welcoming and comforting.

This was my first time travelling to San Francisco. Only got the chance to stay at Pacific Tradewinds Hostel for 1 night but had the pleasure to meet the staff and crew of the hostel who were very nice and friendly. Booked a super cozy and clean shared room with other travellers. 10/10 would recommend to friends. Look forward to...

Most trips I'll book a flight, room and rental car; but if you want to visit a big city, the car is a liability. Skip the car, stay in town, relax, follow to locals, San Francisco has a great public transport. If you have the wherewithal, by all means, stay at the Fairmont hotel up the hill, it's lovely. For...

Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a cost effective hostel within the city. The hostel is very accessible on foot and located within Chinatown. Highly recommended for those on a smaller budget and solo travelers who are looking to socialise and make new friends. The staff are incredibly friendly and informative about the city. The rooms are...

It was my second time there after 2 years. Only stayed a night and didn't really get in touch with other backpackers this time but I could still feel a great vibe! So priceworthy it's also still as clean as it was the first time.

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
