As other reviews have said, this is a great location, on the fringes of busy Fisherman's Wharf. The cable car terminus, tram stops and Ghirardelli Square are also a stones throw away with lovely little shops & restaurants. It is also a great starting point for cycling or walking to the Presidio, Crissy Field and Golden Gate Bridge. Our room...

The Argonaut hotel is at Fisherman's Wharf next door to the Cable car terminus. The restaurants and shops are right outside the door. Our room overlooked the Golden Gate Bridge and the Cable Car turnaround. Our room was very comfortable and large. We enjoyed the wine bar downstairs and the Blue Mermaid bar. The staff at Reception are helpful and...

I booked a king premium bay view with breakfast package. Communicated with Stefan that we will be leaving early and asked about breakfast. The response was "Hello from the Argonaut! Our restaurant and in-room dining service will not yet be open at 5 am, but we can most certainly arrange for a limited room service delivery through our night crew!...

Spent one night in San Francisco after 3 nights in Napa. This stop was a highlight. From the smile on the Valet's face to the front desk support, we had superior service. The hotel was accommodating, clean and very friendly. The work out facility was diverse and impeccable. The wait staff at the hotel bar/restaurant were personable and helpful. I...

We stayed here last weekend & had absolutely no complaints! The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted. The hotel was well maintained & clean; the front desk people were very helpful; & the doormen were fantastic -- not only personable & friendly, but cheerful & very helpful. We came in late one night & the doorman & I...

I know all San Francisco hotels are overpriced. But the Argonaut really pushed the limits. We stayed in a Bay view King room. Wow, it was tiny!! The photos must have used a fish-eye lens. Room decor was of a nautical theme that was out of character for a hotel charging these prices. It was almost comical. Our water stained...

bumpkin13, Thank you for your kind comments about our hotel's premier location. As you noted, it is so close to all the attractions between Ghirardelli Square and Pier 39, and a perfect "home base" for exploring this world class city. Exposed brick and contemporary textured walls as well as whimsical nautical styling and accents define the Argonaut's design. Gorgeous, postcard-perfect...

Stayed at the Argonaut end of January, staff are great, rooms comfy and the dressing gown, bath robes are the best! Downside on hotel lacked atmosphere in the bar though the staff were great and the cocktails were lovely. Would suggest you definitely talk to the hotel travel team when trying to work out what to do and when, if...

Love this hotel. Rooms great. Coffee perculator in room. Ask for more if run out free charge. Beds comfy. Lounge with fire very inviting. Didn't eat here so can't comment. Highly recommend. Staff very helpful. Brollies available if raining. Make sure you return. As they'll charge you otherwise. Robes in room. Thank you
