My company booked me for a conference -- it is one of the conference hotels. It's just not worth the money! The bed is great! Other than that the TV in my room doesn't work on some of the regular channels! No PBS ! Two different people came to try to fix it with no results. Furniture in the room...

Another centrally located hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early (10AM) but they were able to give us a room. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. My only complaint is that there's no outlet by our nightstands so we can't plug our phones next to us.

After four terrific days in San Francisco, Sara at the front desk was terrific! She took the time to listen to us, modified a few errors on our invoice, and her attention to detail is how customer service should be modeled. We will definitely be back! Neither here nor there, but she has some fashion sense too. Loved those red...

This hotel is attractive and comfortable, and extraordinarily ordinary. The room and bed are extremely comfortable and quiet as is the genetic makeup of Westin hotels. The reason I'm calling it ordinary and average is that there is no room service, the breakfast is buffet only, and they don't seem to have any newspapers on site (the gift store does...

Overall the Park Central is fantastic. You can't beat the location. It is family friendly and the rooms are a great size. The Concierge dropped the ball on 3 requests that we made weeks before our arrival. Instead of a tour costing $75 for 4 of us, it was almost $500...that is a huge difference.

I like that the Park Central is close to my company's offices in Soma without being right in the middle of Union Square. Unfortunately they've been charging increasingly high resort fees for basic ammenities like a coffee maker that are complementary at other hotels. The fee seems to just be a way to advertise deceptive room rates which is really...

Used this hotel 3 times when visiting SF. Location is good - almost everything is within walking distance. Breakfast buffet very good. The price though is too expensive compared to value for a standard room.

Hotel was pverall excellent though elevators can be a bit slow if you stay in the higher floors as we did. Giacob was polite and professional during our check in. Keep in mind that this hotel does charge a "resort fee" but luckily ours was waived due to our SPG Gold status. The room was slightly dated in terms of...

This was my second stay in this hotel, last time I was there seven years ago it was called Westin San Francisco Market Street Hotel. I stayed here for 4 nights for a work trip. I didn't read any reviews before booking, because being a Starwood Gold member, I have assumptions of how Starwood hotels are. I wasn't totally off the mark - the location was great and the staff was warm and friendly. I was really surprised that they don't offer room service -...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
