Actual Intercontinental (branded) Hotels are one of my preferred hotels to stay with, regretfully my employer’s budget does not include them. As a result, I am a platinum member with the IHG group. This status is normally “acknowledged” by Intercontinental (branded) hotels, but historically not...More
I've stayed here more than half a dozen times. I have tried staying in other hotels in San Francisco in between. But ultimately I keep coming back. I travel to San Francisco maybe 3x a year for the past 5 years.

South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized
streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
