Spent three nights at this hotel with my wife during the summer. Comments: pro: 1. location is close to Union Square but not so close so that no need to pay for the location premium. 2. hotel is rather new and room is comfortable. con: 1. It promotes itself as a business hotel due to its location, but business center...

Dear LLesq, While I am very happy to learn you like our location and find our rooms comfortable, I'm sorry to hear you found our service to be lacking during your most recent stay with us. The hotel in general is: close to everything, has a super friendly staff, with a wonderful spa and pool area. But for being such a new hotel the room felt very basic and not nearly as nice as other ICH properties that I've stayed at. Less room amenities, no fresh flowers, very little furniture. We had a jr. suite and...

Dear Missivygirl, Thank you so much for choosing the InterContinental San Francisco for your family trip to the Bay area. It gives me great pleasure to read that you found our staff super friendly and you enjoyed the hotel amenities, especially our spa and fitness center. I'm glad you liked the extra space in the Junior suite but am very...

Traveling on business and the location couldn't be more convenient. But they charge for everything. Overnight parking for $52, fee for package handling (which was delivered late), and a breakfast buffet for $30 for food with no flavor. Rooms were nice but nothing to write home about, and certainly not nice for the price tag all said. Won't be back.

Dear Blain I, Thank you for your candid feedback. I'm glad you thought our location was so convenient for your travel needs. Parking is at a premium in downtown San Francisco and our parking charges are in line with the area, I'm sorry you found the rates to be too high. We do strive for a great guest experience and...

Neighborhood : Safe for tourists (at least my personal impression) Room: Clean, modern, with an awesome view to the bay. Equipped with a coffee machine (non-nespresso capsule system, maybe ask for fresh capsules...). Breakfast: Expensive but really good! Service: Very friendly and helpful. World class concierges, thank you, guys! Definitely my preferred hotel in this part of San Francisco.!

One of my favorite hotels in SF and one of the best options you have down near SOMA. Its near the Moscone Center and Yerba Buena Gardens. The hotel is very comfortable and exactly what you would expect from a InterContinental property. The value I got was high since I was able to get it on Priceline for a drastically...

The hotel is within walking distance to most places you want to go. The wharf is a little far better to take transportation. Be aware that if you're driving, the hotel charges for the service of parking there. It is $50. extra. The rooms are clean, beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Rooms are pretty much all the same. Their...

We went to San Francisco for a conference at the Moscone center and the location was great for that, only a couple of minutes walk with several restaurant choices on the way. We spent ten days here in October. The hotel is convenient for getting around the city and offers friendly service in very comfortable surroundings. Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
