I have seen reviews of this hotel where reviewers complain that the rooms are dated and need updating - but I think they are missing the point. This is a beautiful old building and the interiors are fitting. If you want modern furniture I'm sure that you can pay through the nose for a more modern room in a hotel...

Only 10 mins walk from Union Square but handy for everything - shops, bars, restaurants. The blue line bus tour even stops right outside. This is a listed building and still retains the old time decor but rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need for a trip to San Francisco. Highlights are the free continental breakfast - fruit,...

If you are looking for a sleek, modern, fancy hotel, Beresford Arms is not for you. This is an old world hotel, named an official historic hotel in SF. The lobby is beautiful, a step back in time. Most people who stay here tend to be regulars or an international population. It books very quickly, so make reservations way in...

Great Location - make sure if walking anywhere that you walk down hill to Market Street. It's about a 30-35 minute walk to the Ferry Building. Rooms are in need of a little TLC, but beds were very comfortable. Make sure you ask for a quiet room as those on street side can be noisy from traffic and the night...

Beautiful old world style Hotel! The room was wonderful and so spacious. We had the Suite which gives you a kitchen, living room, bathroom & bedroom. Very efficient staff and no unnecessary charges or issues at all. The City is an expensive place and this hotel is priced competitive with others and what they offered it made for a very...

The hotel staff is very good and we appreciated their knowledge about places and the transportation involved to get to them. If the hotel has a problem it is location. Be prepared to walk, if you want to use the Muni or BART, about 6 - 8 blocks downhill. That means when returning you will walk uphill. Uber seems to...

We were recommended this hotel by friends who had stayed previously, and it didn't disappoint. It was very central, and allowed us to fully explore all that San Francisco had to offer, with only a short walk to Union Square, Powell Street BART and a myriad of local transport and restaurant options. The room was spacious and nicely appointed, with...

As a family of five, had a large suite with 3 double beds, kitchenette and large bathroom. It is a good location as its only few minutes from Union Square. Breakfast included as it afternoon wine and nibbles. One minute walk from Car Hire (Budget/Avis) if you intend to drive down and visit other places on the coast. Bit noisy...

This hotel is beautiful and a nice classic old school look to it. I stayed here for 3 nights, the room was very nice, comfortable bed, microwave and fridge in the room. My room was on the alley side.. can be noisy at night, they take out the trash and they make sure you know it if you know what...

This is an older hotel that has been remodeled, and is centrally located in the San Francisco, California area. The hotel is near connections for cable cars and city buses. The hotel is just a short walk for cable cars to G square, and pier 39 area.
