It was perfect for our trip to San Francisco: very close to Union Square, clean and nice. If you want to walk around and to visit places, without spending a lot, this is the place where you want to stay!

The Super 8 hotel is a pretty decent hotel in a good area at a 2 minutes walk from Union Square. Even if the exterior of the building may seem (and in fact is) quite old, rooms were clean but a little bit small. The bathroom was clean as well, you were provided with soap, towels and a hairdryer. The...

This is an absolutely no-frills hotel in the heart of San Francisco. It is, however, clean, safe, and reasonably priced. The staff is friendly. I needed to saty for a week on business, and was entirely satisfied.

My friend and I booked this hotel in advanced. We looked through a lot of the pictures and thought it was ok. The hotel Lobby is run down not inviting. I think the host was nice but he must hate his job or something because we weren't even greeted with a grin. We went up the elevator that shook and...

We are so sorry about the inconveniences. Vik was trying to help you out so you would not need to spend more money on another hotel. San Francisco is expensive as it is. We will make sure to check all the non-smoking rooms in case they smell like ash trays. Thank you for your comment. We can mend our problems...

As of May, 2015, this supposedly revamped hotel is in a very tired condition. Rickety elevator, worn and stained rugs, sagging mattress, unclean bathroom floor and ugly caulking all contribute to an uncomfortable stay. However, if you covet being 3 blocks from Union Square and only want a place to plant your head at night, this may suit you.

Thank you all for staying with us. We are sorry about the elevator, rugs, mattress and bathroom floor. We are trying to get the elevator fixed and the rugs cleaned. The mattress and the bathroom floors were never a problem in the past but we will make sure all our rooms are tidier. Thank you commenting on what we need...

It's San Francisco, during a convention week (although a small one), so a room for <$170 is not a bad deal to begin with. I had a "suite", meaning one room w/ queen bed, dresser, TV, and one room w/ sofa & TV, and bathroom. The room itself is comfy, clean sheets, bathroom is clean. Carpet (in room and through...

Thank you for staying with us during the convention you attended. Our breakfast is on the 6th floor and our continental breakfast has a variety of yogurt, bread, pastry, coffee, juice, tea, milk, and fruit. It is a good breakfast to start off your day. Thank you for letting us know about our carpet, we will get it cleaned as...

I was very disappointed when I first stepped into the lobby. The hotel looks very worn down and kind of lousy. Especially if you walk to the hotel from Market Street where you are forced to pass Hilton on the way. What a contrast. The carpets are worn down and the whole interior is worn down. The rooms have a...

We are so glad that you stayed with us at Super 8, but we do ask for forgiveness for the noise of the streets and the refrigerator. We are still working on the wifi. Come back soon!
