I love the hotel. Location is perfect, the rooms are small but very cosy. Thank you for the great stay, Mystic hotel. I was upgraded to a nice suite after a crazy day of travels. Vera at the front desk is very nice, friendly and helpful. She also helped me with suggestions for the dinner and made my reservation. I...

Great central location, close to stores, transportation hub throughout the city. The staff was very friendly and resourceful in helping me find places for late night dinner or exploring different areas in the city. The rooms are beautiful. Great for one person.

We've stayed here a few times. The location is great. Rooms can be a bit small, but they are very clean, well outfitted with a comfortable bed and a great shower. It's always one of the first places we check when visiting

My husband & I stayed here to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The hotel more than met our needs - visually pleasing (loved the exposed brick walls, dark hallway w/red carpeting & antique elevator), clean, comfortable bed & great location. The breakfast provided was great - many options to choose from, delicious Orange juice & freshly brewed Starbucks coffee. I...

Came to SF for business for 2 nights and needed somewhere in the central area near Union Square as my meetings were all nearby. Hotels around it are much higher priced too as are Grand Hyatt, Marriott and honestly if here on business this hotel is fine. It's clean, outside of burning hot summer is perfectly temperate and not too...

I stayed here last Sunday evening after finding a good deal on Hotels.com. The location is convenient, right near the intersection of Stockton and Sutter, across the street from the Grand Hyatt. This hotel is in many ways the opposite of the Grand Hyatt: it is much smaller and the rooms are definitely more unique. My room was very small,...

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the stay. We got room 715 first, and asked to be switched to a room with a better view than a wall with lots of bird droppings. We were moved right away to a nicer room, 510. Courteous, friendly staff. The room was on the small side (to be expected in a big...

Nice place. Nice location. Many shops in walking distance. It's better to ask for a room on the higher floors if you want nice view. I'd like to appreciate the help of the hotel staff. Vera (Front Desk) was very friendly, helpful and nice.

Just a block away from the Union square, the Mystic gives you the perfect start to explore the city. The room was small but cozy, nice big shower. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mystic Hotel Union Square San Francisco by Charlie Palmer is a smart, sleek retreat situated in the heart of the city's busiest neighborhoods. Conveniently located just one block from the iconic cable car line in the middle of three key destinations – Union Square, Chinatown and the Financial District — Mystic Hotel offers a convenient, comfortable and unique modern boutique hotel experience in a historic location. With a contemporary look and feel, our accommodations are designed to reflect the changing need of today's traveler. Enjoy high-touch service and an ideal Union Square location, perfect for travelers looking to experience all the adventures of San Francisco. Like a private club, enjoy handcrafted cocktails in the Burritt Room, the intimate film noir-inspired bar named for Burritt Alley, where detective Sam Spade's partner Miles Archer was gunned down in The Maltese Falcon. Then, step into the speakeasy vibe of renowned Chef Charlie Palmer’s adjoining Burritt Tavern, where walled-in and curtained booths create dark corners for private conversations and Executive Chef Luke Knox turns out classic food like steaks and chops done right. Knox also takes advantage of Bay area's tremendous green markets as well as the extraordinary offerings from local food artisans in menus built around prized regional specialties from Dungeness crab to West Coast oysters. That's what we like about San Francisco: it's up to the minute and still in the moment. ... more   less
