We found Hotel Beresford to be an affordable and central option, with breakfast included. A short walk to Union Square and public transport. Staff were very helpful. Facilities were a little dated but had everything we needed. Extremely good value for money.

The room was spacious and clean with a really comfy bed. Location was great for cable cars and union square and not difficult to get to fisherman's wharf. Breakfast was adequate. Overall, was a nice hotel with a homely feel.
