This was quite a small hotel (reminded me of a B&B), although the brekkie was not included and was quite expensive to eat in their restaurant. The hotel was cosy though and was right on the street so a lot of eating places around you just have to find them! There is a supermarket just out of the hotel, turn...

My partner and I stayed here for three nights at the beginning of September. We arrived into the city from the MUNI link from the SFO airport. We had to get a bus from the Civic Centre station and our stop was a few blocks south from the hotel which wasn't a nice neighbourhood. Fortunately it was still daylight and...

Quite nice location, walking distance to Union Square, the trams and malls. Room of good size with nice furniture and large walk-in closet (with safe and bathrobes). Very slow Internet access. Complimentary wine reception in the lobby in the afternoon. Not worth paying extra for rooms on the top floors, there is no view to be impressed by from the...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over a long Memorial Day weekend. Our flight was cancelled due to bad weather. The hotel was very accommodating about changing our check in and check out dates. The room is neatly decorated, not the biggest, but not teeny tiny either. It is perfect for two people. Other positive things: The hotel...

This was our very first trip to the US, and our first port of call after a long flight from Sydney, so we were weary and unsure of what to expect. Arrived at the hotel early afternoon and were delighted with the beautiful foyer and very friendly staff who welcomed us. Our room was attractively decorated and very comfortable. We...

Hotel within walking distance of Union Square but in a quiet area. Hotel clean and room large with a walk in wardrobe to die for. I loved the olde worlde atmosphere of it. Would go back again and would recommend it. Staff brilliant.

Unfortunately after a day out we returned to find our liquor had been taken, not just a little bit but two bottles at one litre each completly gone. I went straight to front desk and even thought they were most professional i got the feeling that it wasnt uncommon. I was required to call house keeping to enquire to what...

Dear Fedndust, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I'm sorry that your visit did not live up to your expectations. I'm sure that liquor was not taken from your room to be sold so I would greatly appreciate it if you would call me so that I could help discern what actually occur and take corrective...

Stayed here for 4 nights in September. Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and polite. The room we had (800) was a good size and clean. The bed was hard though. The location is very convenient for all the major sites and Dotties diner (best in SF for breakfast!) but it does border Tenderloin which is the not so nice...

This is an old hotel that has been refurbished and redecorated. It is nice, clean, and quiet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Like many hotels, it does not have enough power outlets for all the electronic gear I (and most of us) travel with. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but not terribly tiny. It...

This little hotel on Sutter is close to shopping and the theater district. It has "character," which means that the rooms are small and the place is old, but it's still cool. There is a definite international flavor to the clientele-- I've met people from all over the world there. As noted, the valet parking is expensive, but you can...
