Can't argue that the hotel has a nicely updated lobby. Rooms are clean and updated as well. However, as others have said, the area surrounding it not so good. They do offer garage parking for a fee. Even though we had checked out, they let us keep the car there for a day. You can catch the streetcar right on...

The people who run this place make this hotel. We pricelined and ended up here. The guy when we checked in upgraded our room at no extra cost. He was amazing. The neighbourhood is not great but not terrible. It's not the Bronx but its also not the best. Walk the wrong direction and things get sketchy. However it is...

Rooms were fine but wouldn't recommend the area it was in. First thing we get told is where not to walk etc. Public transport easy from it though. Service was fine except we ate there each night and on the last day they advertised their steak as being a special that night, when ordering dinner we asked about it they...

I had not planned ahead for a business trip and ended up booking at this hotel based loosely on the 'close' proximity to the event I was attending. Based on the pictures, the lobby looked great and the bar/restaurant appeared nicely updated. Much like the chain where I am a member. However, the cab pulled up to the hotel -...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
