Great hotel, sharp modern decor, super clean rooms, friendly staff, knew the answer or looked it up to verify, secure parking, few steps from BART/MUNI station and bus stops. Supplied earplugs since a building was being demolished across the street, it was stopped at night and on Saturday. There were homeless people out front, as there are with every hotel...

I could have been persuaded to rate this hotel a two instead of a three. The front desk staff is top-notch, and the lobby is very nice. The rooms are OK, a little small for a standard Holiday Inn but not compared to San Francisco boutique hotels. The location is a half block from BART and adjacent to the Civic...

We booked the hotel for a night but used it only for the day as we had come in off a cruise and had a late night flight to catch. We love that area in San Francisco and were lucky to enjoy the St Patrick's Day parade that went along Market Street. Also managed a quick shop at Westfield very...

Stayed here for work. Was close to where I needed to be, but overall didn't seem like a great location. I walked a couple blocks and there was quite a few bums. Not sure if that's just the city, so not going to hold it against hotel. The person working front desk was very nice and took extra time for...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
