My boyfriend and I recently moved from SF to south bay and need a place to stay when we are in the city for events/holidays/etc. As loyal hyatt members, we figured we would see if the Regency would be our home away from home. We were certainly not disappointed! We received our first room (which was lovely), but it had...

I was there for few days for Oracle open world, This is my second time and would stay at this place again. Its close to the venue and lots of places to see that are near by. The room was clean and pleasing.

Over the past few years, Hyatt has been my favorite overall hotel chain, and I stay with them whenever possible. I travel to San Francisco regularly, and stay at the Regency the majority of the time. I always experience great customer service here, and really like the design of the hotel. While some of the decor is a little aged,...

I stayed here for six nights, after tagging along on my husband's business trip. As a loyalty member, I like to stay at Hyatt properties when I can and decided on this hotel based on the great location, close to BART and other transportation (practically right outside your door). I also enjoyed walking through the craft market each morning on...

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding. It was during Fleet Week. We had a bay view room, and it was perfect! We have a gorgeous view from the balcony, and were even able to watch the Blue Angels perform from our room! It was a beautiful weekend, and the staff was very helpful. Even the roll-away-bed we...

I stay here when in San Francisco for Conferences. It's at the end of Market Street right at embarcadero and at a muni and bart, and cable car stop. I always get a muni pass and you can get all over from there. The rooms I find are very nice and seem larger than other hotels around town. Have never...

We stayed here for a conference. We like nice hotels and when you pay $300+ for a room you have expectations. It is in a great location in the financial district right across the stress from the the Ferry Building Marketplace and walking distance from many good sites. The conference facilities were nice but the hotel itself was a disappointment....

Our family of 5 recently stayed in 2 adjoining rooms at the Hyatt. The rooms were very spacious and well-appointed. The hotel is undergoing some renovations in the lobby which didn't bother us at all. Our kids (ages 21, 15, 13) all agreed that the hotel is a cross between the Contemporary at Walt Disney World and an Embassy Suites....

I stayed at this property in May 2015. I booked a suite on a top floor, and was not disappointed with the size of the room or the views of the bay and ferry building, minus the nightly group of homeless people who were taking up residence on the steps and areas adjacent to the property. The room was however...

Staying in Financial District

Neighbourhood Profile
Financial District
The Financial District lies just east of Chinatown but can seem a world apart given it’s San Francisco’s version of Wall Street. The rush of business people make up a hectic weekday and add to a frenetic pace of life, but visitors who spend a few hours walking the narrow streets will be rewarded with fine examples of historic and contemporary architecture, including the iconic Transamerica Pyramid. After business hours, bars and restaurants quickly fill up with happy hour revelers. Stocks aren’t the only kind of market being followed, the Ferry Building Marketplace on the Embarcadero is a gourmet food emporium and farmers market that will satisfy anyone working up an appetite.
