Unfortunately did not have a very pleasant stay at the Mosser. Due to a flight cancellation we arrived at the hotel a day late. However, my travel agent notified the hotel of this the previous day and they promised to hold the room for us. So we arrived in San Francisco after 20+ hours of travelling only to be informed...

Very small rooms for two people, okay for one person. great location and close to everything in downtown. Hotel has potential to be better than it is by just upgrading few things in the hotel, such as lobby, elevator...

I stayed at The Mosser because I got a great deal on it from groupon. I read up on the hotel and thought it sounded good for a little weekend trip I was taking to the city. I have to say the location is in a great area right on 4th St and Powell. It's steps away from Union Square...

Excellent two-star hotel with a perfect location for a visit to San Francisco, with both a subway station (Powell St) and Cable Car stations just beside it. The neigbouhood is lively but safe, filled with shops, malls, restaurants, a Target store and an AMC cinema, there's lots of activity by night even during weekdays. You have nearby Yerba Buena gardens,...

The hotel is very small. There is no bathroom or shower place within the room. Each floor has two bathrooms and two shower rooms. I was not aware of it until I arrived. The wall is very thin you can hear next door's TV. Our room is smaller than what I expected from the picture. The location of the hotel...

I loved our room. Was a little worried first that it was going to be noisy with several windows on big streets, but I slept well and did not hear any street noise. We chose the hotel for its more personable feeling and old world charm. We were not disappointed. Staff was very friendly

We stayed at The Mosser for 5 nights & booked via Airbnb. The room was cosy but very comfortable & we would stay there again when returning to San Fran. The hotel is located very central to everything possible. Concierge & receptionist were always very friendly & helpful. The bar/restaurant next door was good too.

we had a clean small room with shared toilet facilities. it was good worth the money quiet on this level. unobtrusive staff. some good , some aloof , but worth the money in an expensive place, free coffee and muffin for breakfast, walked to the pier and china town and caught tram ,only real downside is the profliration of homeless people...

I choose a room with a bathroom and know that you need to be choosy about the room the give you. On the first try I was assigned room 308. I was prepared for how small it was complete with a micro bathroom (although the window in the shower - yes there was a window in the shower wall that...

I was completely satisfied with my stay, as I was looking to be in the heart of the city and in a cheap (but not too cheap) place. The hotel is located about 200 meters from the nearest BART stop, so it was super easy to get there from the airport. The facilities were clean, staff nice, and it had...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
