We vacated the room and they made it clear they were going to try and rent it to another person with out even notifiying them...

The place was a little less than a mile from Union Square, so my husband and I walked there with no problem. The room was small, didn't have a fridge, and it smelled a little musty, but other than that it was fine. They had one of those really old hair dryers and I didn't even realize what it was...

The room was clean, most of the fixtures were fairly new. Elevator was out. Had some young, LOUD kids partying one night. Bed was comfortable. Towels in bathroom were terrible, thin and rough. Iron didn't work. Fairly noisy when housekeeping rolls their carts on the stony sidewalks. Cheap, great location. Front desk check in was VERY slow and not friendly....

Cheapest place to stay within a mile of downtown by about $50 a night. I did a few minutes of research before deciding to stay here. I knew it wasn't going to be the cleanest, quietest , or featured packed hotel. Check in was simple. There is a clearly marked sign that says $125 hold is placed. The sign was...

This was the cheapest hotel available on the website I used to plan my trip to San Francisco, and as a veteran of youth hostels and dive hotels throughout Europe, I figured I could handle this place. I was wrong. I was drawn to the low price, free parking and central location, but those things didn't outweigh the bad things....

If you like being treated like you are an inconvenience and a nuisance, then you will like this hotel. I bought a Southwest Vacations package and it was fully paid in advance a month before arriving. The desk clerk, a man named Ram, kept saying in broken English that it was not paid for and he needed to charge my...

We paid double the normal price for this hotel because it was a Street Faire Weekend. We chose it because it was near where we need to be. Waited 20 minutes to check in while the one attendant was helping other and on the phone. This hotel has it rooms spread over properties on both sides of 7th st. We...

I found bugs in the hotel room. Since there were only few bugs I decided not to complain or report it to the hotel. After I checked out, the hotel is accusing me of bringing bugs in the room. Now I am trying to resolve the problem , hotel staff are not being very cooperative. I wanted to talk with...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
