Visited the hotel for 3 nights. First of all the nighborhood was full of homeless people and didn't feel comfortable with that. The staff was not friendly! We needed to get and deliver 2 fax messages and they charged us for that 10$. I won't recommend this place

Myself and my partner stayed here for two nights. It's probably the worst hotel we've stayed in, and we've been travelling for 3months so that says a lot. The hotel is in desperate need of a renovate. Its not the greatest location, I can't say i felt overly safe. Luckily it was just a base so we only slept and...

we chose this place because it was the right place with parking for our family budget. WE still talk about all the homeless around this hotel and in san fran and have no desire to ever go back. We did not feel safe and secure especially since cars all over were broken into. Definitely a shady area

This place was a last minute booking and worked out very well! Super close to everything. Room was clean, towels were changed out everyday, the customer service was on point, and we even got a friendly reminder about the free snacks and coffee as we wanted to make sure we grabbed a small bite before heading out. The price was...

I have to admit I was terrified of what this place was going to be like after reading all the reviews. The dates we were visitng happened to be during a very large and popular conference/expo so for our price range we weren't getting much choice. However after we arrived my nerves were rested. It wasn't that bad at all....

I've had a great experience at City Center Inn & Suite. The staff was courteous and friendly during my 4 day business trip in San Francisco. Check-in and check-out went pretty fast (I booked through Hotwire.com). The room was basic, nothing fancy, but clean and quiet, and serviced every day. The breakfast included is announced as lite (1 cup of...

Extremely bad service. Giving out extra sheets and blankets were "Not part of our policy" (we were friends sharing beds so we asked if we could have an extra set of bed clothing). The Inn is located in a pretty dogdy area and our room was located in a building on the other side of the street which did not...

The room was across the street for the reception. It was small, dirty and with a lot of noice from the street. The neighbourhood was very shady. The breakfast that was included was a joke. But the worse thing was the bad service. We where three girls staying for four nights and wanted and extra sheet since we where sharing...

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
